He said that he would upload it in evening or tommorow. It was better if he uploaded it all in one since that it is in the same VHS. I don't like Non Assistance's alternate version, it looks likes he recorded it after Attentat just to add some mabanga's. I was really dissapointed when I heard Attentat "Version Radio" since that I excepted alot after watching sur La Route de Bercy. I thought then that it was over for Koffi Olomide and the start of his decline. That Academia won against him and that he was cursed for disssing Papa Wemba for years, who was his mentor and made his name know in the Congolese Music-scene. My opinion didn't change after wachting Attentat vol. 1 VHS of videoclips, who came 1 or 2 months later. The videotape made made me understand that there were two versions. My opinion stayed only postive for the rumba's. Then after hearing Attenat "l'Integrale" my opinon changed after and after some weeks it became one of my favorite albums, especially after watching the Live a Bercy-videotape. Looking then forward to Force de Frappe to hear songs from Mamale  ,Fally Ipupa, Mustapha (discovering later that he hadn't a song a left during the recordings) & Lola Muana. There are alot of people who still don't like Attentat. Koffi receiving a gold record for Attentat 2 months after it's release and during the time that alot of people were still critizing that album, made people started think that, those gold records Congolese artists are receiving were fake. Emeneya was saying for years that there isn't a Congolese artist who received a real gold record recognized by SACEM/SNEP, but nobody beliefed him until his death. With Emeneya also adding that he was a member of SACEM, which made people think that he was lying and jealous to Koffi, not knowing that every artist based in France is a member of SACEM. It's only now that people, after the commotion about Fabregas double gold record for Je Pense, that are releasing that those gold records were fake and just made by the label-bosses themselve. I hope that there will come a wonder so that we can re-discover the videotape where Depitsho explained his departure, the one of Bouro's return to QL and that of when JF, Depitsho and Suzuki are dissing Koffi.

This is one of the many ways how how his recordlabel Sonodisc/Sono/Next Music contributed to make his name big in Africa and shows how important it was to record videoclips.

personally, I like some songs of this album like "Cameleon", "Nul n'est parfait", "Sans anesthésie", "Malanda-ngombe" and "Chocolat" but I find that in the 90's it is most missed album of Koffi. It does not come under any circumstances up to V12, Loi, Noblesse oblige, Koweit rive gauche or even les prisonniers dorment despite Koffi having found a good team to replace Academia, the album is not of high quality...

What made you not like Sans Anesthesie  & Malanda Ngombe? I like the story of Sans Anesthesie. It makes me always think about my ex', it's a good song to get your girl back if she's angry. Malanda Ngombe is one of my favorite diss-songs, Lola Muana's vocal is to strong as attack, which takes Koffi & Wemba back in 1976/77. Babia's vocal in Nul n'est Parfait was very rude. Wemba became quit after those attacks hahahaha and then looking for reconcilation, saying that if his mother was still alive that she would reconcile them. Kids back in those years were going crazy on the songs Chocalat and African Kings. They couldn't believe that Koffi invited Passi who was then one of the famous rappers in France. I think that Koffi recorded the song Chocolat for them, he also gave a shoot-out to his own kids in that songs.

No brother, you misunderstood what I meant. I said that the only songs I like in this album are "cameleon", "nul n'est parfait", "sans anesthésie", "malanda-ngombe" and "chocolat" and without forgetting the générique. As you, "malanda-ngombe" is one of my favorite diss-songs and "sans anesthésie" is one of the most beautiful songs of Koffi in the post-V12 era.

First he left because of those girls making them crazy in Europe (Fally wanted also to stay his girlfriend but he wanted his rivals in Bandal of Maison Mere & BCBG prove a point with his new car). Then he wanted to return but like Archos explained in one of the topics 3/4 years ago, Gipson did witchcraft on him which made him not being accepted back, because he lost his head what made Koffi delete his vocals and let Montana who just joined put his vocals in that space. Gipson & Soleil gave tenorists a hard time in Quartier Latin with their nkisi.

I don't know if he had a song. But I was looking forward to it after hearing him in concerts. It could be that he had a song, but that his departure gave space to another bandmember to put a song, since that they prepare songs in Kinshasa with Koffi selecting 11 or 10  of the 20 to put in the album. I'm sure that Depitsho had a song in Force de Frappe, since that he was a important member.

Had both stayed in Quarter Latin, I doubt Bouro Mpela would have returned since he was jealous of Savanet Depitsho. Had Fally and Depitsho both continued in the group for Force de Frappe, Bouro would have likely stayed far away but never underestimate Koffi...he could of made that crowd work together.

Had Mustapha and Depitsho participated in Force de Frappe, their songs would have taken the place of Passé-Kossé and Riden Makosso, I feel like they got placement due to defections leading up to Bercy and afterwards.

Attentat is one of those albums that has so much senimental value to me. So many good times 1999-2000

Non-Assistance is a fantastic composition, but my issue is all the mabanga recited at the end for both versions. It's the only song where the cut Version Radio might've been better. I remember when he was previewing back in 1998, saying it will be on his next solo album.

Yeah, he was promoting that song alot. The first time that I heard it was on the interview he made after Olympia with Zacle. Singing it first on his guitar and then in car with Modogo. It was on the VHS "Qui dit Vraie?" of Papa Wemba & Koffi Olomide.

Depitsho was getting slandered all across the board, from Bouro Mpela in Academia to his former bandmated in Quarter Latin  :D

Did you like Savanet Depitsho's contributions to Attentat? Did you feel like he should of stayed in Quartier Latin or were you happy to see him go? I liked his voice, granted his dancing and looks took him were his meal ticket but he had better chemistry with the group on this album then Droit De Veto.

Maybe it's best that he left, because he wouldn't of sounded good on Effrakata and the albums after...

Great song selections! My favorite sebene songs are Number One and Cameleon; each members gets to display their vocal strengths in limited spacing and the instrumentation (specifically bass guitar & drums) are top-notch quality!

As for rhumbas, my favorites are Boda-Bodack, Malanda Ngombe, and Sans Anesthésie.

From a subjective viewpoint, i really like depitcho’s voice and i liked his contributions on both albums droit de veto & attentat. But he wouldnt fit in effrakata.
I feel that, even there is some good stuff, attentat was an album made for 2000 new years parties
And to tunt academia (with the fact that, the singer have more vocals than previous album) and rivals. Songs like number one, victoire, kamutshima, cameleon, nul n’est parfait & malanda ngombe make me think that he would made a « Magie II » because its really sound like a koffi & quartier latin’s album wich is not especially bad.
When i hear songs like non assistance, attentat, boda bodak, sans anesthésie, im telling myself that, thoses songs were prepared when sam bouro modogo & co were still in the group.
But the fact that this album was average, make effrakata more powerful.
I rode somewhere that in the « force de frappe era » koffi tried to convince do akongo to come back in ql, is that true?

Koffi prepares his songs of his solo albums always on the same time when Quartier Latin is working on their group album. He was promoting Non Assistance alot before Droit de Veto. Sam Tshintu, Modogo, Depitsho, Bouro & Babia used to sing Nul n'est Parfait together. There is a video of them singing it before their concert in London. Koffi gave his singer alot of space to prove Wemba's fans a point. Since that they were always that he wasn't giving his singers a chance, etc.

Now that I about of it, all of these new members that worked on Attentat never lasted long with Koffi. The following members of Quarter Latin didn't join the group to perform in Bercy of 2000:

Spino Nola, Sarbatino Batracien, JF Ifongé, and Chikito Mutakatif. What happened with these guys? Why didn't they join the others? Did they have a falling out with Koffi or did Koffi fear that they would not return to Kinshasa after Bercy?

JF Ifonge was there at Bercy but only danced in the intro and sung 2 songs that day. He didn't participate because he was in jail until 2 days before Bercy which made him miss alot of rehearshals. There was not enough place to bring them all to Bercy. Koffi had already 10 singers selected and 4 guitar-players. Which made guys like Spino, Sarbatino, Chikito, Soleil Wanga, Fofo le Collegien, Janvier Okota, etc. the list is long being left behind in Kinshasa. Yes he was thinking that some would run away in Europe. But they all rejoined Quartier Latin when they returned Kinshasa. Except Jamvier Okota who went to Wenge El Paris, Chikito who went to BCBG's PPU, Do Akongo who started his solo career and Beniko who would be recruited by Academia.

Yeah many times until 2005. But Do Akongo was still refusing. Still being angry the way Koffi left him behind in Kinshasa for Bercy and he was sure to succeed in his solo career. He was then working on his solo album and recruited musicians like Atshuda, Eboa Lotin, Bidjana, etc. But he wasn't getting a visa for Europe, since that someold made a false story. Saying that he was a criminaliteit, which made the Schengen House refuse to give him a visa. So Do was blocked for years in Kinshasa, which made him sell songs to Werrason, etc. and his bandmembers leaving one by one and problems starting.

Spino and Soleil Wanga never had a chance at Bercy in 2000, because their dancing was not good enough to join the others.

I was shocked when Koffi picked Ridens Makosso over Do Akongo to play rhythm guitar, clearly Akongo was the better guitarist! Why wouldn't Beniko Popolipo be the first guitarist approved to join them in Bercy? He created a lot of the guitart melodies for that album

That’s because koffi was angry to the fact that he dropped an album with bouro mpela, somono & kester’s features.
I think it was a clue to humiliate him. Spino had great vocals in attentat, i wish him & mamale could be in effrakata & also sarbatino (effrakata or affaire d’etat) because he has great originals dance skills & we never had the chance to really hear him in a record.

In 9:27 we can hear his supposed vocal on bilan & he dont seems to be a bad singer. I mean not bad as jordan lool so i wich he could appear on affaire d’etat like paparazzi.

I mean he aint sing well as babia, junior, modogo, deo brando or montana but nevertheless,
His vocals are still enjoyable, like depitcho, or even koffi himself (sometimes), in my opinion.

If you listen well to Mamale's story no. He was bot suspended it just that they said to him that he had to stay 2,3 or 4 concerts at home. As a punition so that it eon't repeat again, that he comes late in concert. But Depitsho dkdn't want to accept and left Ql, because of that if we have to believe QL's version of that story.

they wanted rid of him anyway, from the moment fally stepped up, i heard from several person that koffi was not too ken anymore on depitcho  since fally stepped up and represented what koffi needed handsome,a better singer than depitsho and a more flexible dancer so there was a need of something to force him out especially as him behind much advanced compared to most of the bercy team in terms of standing and experience he was   more difficult to handle and was seen as growing a big ego with his improved popularity after zenith olympia ,prior to that even they tried to trick him at another concert giving him a wrong time for plane while koffi has a rule whoever you are if you arrive at airport later than him you wont travel and he came before the hour

It's interesting to look back and see Koffi assemble a new team after the creation of Academia, you can tell that he gave them the space to showcase their unique talents!

I can only speak from today, since I was a child back then. But those old enough to remember, when you saw the replacements for Academia...did you have faith in Attentat being a potential classic, a good album, or were you worried that this could be the first major mistep for Koffi?

You could really feel the passion from the singers, atalakus, and even the dancers about making new music! What's that song playing at 2:20 minute mark on the second video? Sounds like a good rhumba!

Back in the days even i knew it would be different & not especially better, i see Attentat & force de frappe as a « transaction periode to the greatness ». And even it wasn’t better, from 1992 to 2007, an album produced by koffi can’t be « BAD ».
Even there is a lot of imperfection, theres some highlights : one of the best koffi’s generic, fally, lola, gypson, soleil, spino, bercy’s hype, babia, eric tusti’s return since v12, new beautiful dancers, new attakus & from the other side, academia drop sanction so we had 2 high qualities album frome ql alumnies
