So crazy that he failed to bring Choc Stars back on the rails after Defao departure.

The girl who's singing in Jeannot Canon is Fatou La Gazelle. She would join Victoria Eleison in 1997 and sing with Emeneya in the song Mademoiselle of Longue Histoire vol. 2

Great point but I think Defao was the best thing for Choc Stars. However Choc Stars still released great music after Debaba, Carlyto, Djuna Djanana, Defao and other big names left. I mean their 1997 album was pretty solid.

yeah they made good albums, but they hadn't succes anymore after Defao's departure in 1991. Ben Nyamabo hadn't the power anymore to lure stars in his band like he did in the past with Djo Mali, Djanana, Petit Prince, Carlyto and Debaba. Because if he had that power he could quickly lure 2 stars of other bands in Choc Stars to replace the big hole Defao left there.

You are correct. By then people also started to look more for individuality much more by the 1990s. More bands were created during this period.
