Yeah, textbook Koffi this era.
I almost feel bad for him - forces are not in favor of an average atalakou surviving as a solo artist.

I really don't know why Kirikou is so much hated, he is not Bill, Brigade, Ambulance, Kabuya or Fusèe, but he is committed and writes a lot of cries, Bercy is way much worse but people respect him more only because he acts like he were Bill

Congolese Diaspora especially in Europe, if you check all the Yt comments, or pages like Macdeddy and so on Wenge MM fans, Ferre fans, QL fans bashing him on the comments saying he is a weka voice who cannot handle any type of Orchestra, I can agree but at least give this kid a try, what I don't understand in our Congolese audiamce is that they prefer to hate instead of showing love to other musicians beside their favourite one.

A lot of factors to why his generic sounds like Koffi's. He just left Koffi for one. also, Kirikou is not made for fast-paced generic like WMMM's. His voice will be lost even in the studio. There's also the question of the musicians he was able to hire to make the generic. nothing they played stood out as catchy.
Kirikou can grow on you if you give him enough listening. Not too bad.

true....although he should have uses the animations or rap lines he used in tshoutshou. That way, he would have started a good solo career.

Not bad not great. The last 2 minutes should have come a bit earlier in my opinion. The fire part comes when I'm almost too bored of the same rhythm & tempo

One observation I've made over time is that the Congolese people tend to be overly critical of their own musicians. There is a lot of comparison between this guy & that guy, this group and the other group, how this one pays their musicians against how the other one does, how this song does not match to that Franco album etc. Sometimes even when it is not necessary to make such comparisons. There is no that mentality that "this is not my cup of tea, I'm just gonna leave it alone". People feel that they must have an opinion on everyone & everything.
It's pretty much the same situation here in Kenya. No wonder we do not have many if any internationally renown musicians

What about Sauti Sol? They are young and have a lot of talent they should be in P-Square/Davido/Toofan/Arafat type of success.
Anyway is because Congolese people almost naturally are very good in art especially music and soccer, in fact if you check Congolese footballers they play for Belgium or France, and they have won 1 CAF and 2 African Cup of Nations, for the music Deplick said " Congolais mposo moko litoyi moko" which means Congolese are of one skin and of one ear, because we had so many great music that if you come up with shit, people will tell you clearly that you were shit.
