Title: Did Emeneya & Wemba ever perform with sungglasses on ?

Congolese artists have often the habit to perform with sunglasses on, but I have never seen Papa Wemba & King Kester Emeneya performing with sunglasses on.

Even Grande Maitre Franco never performed with sun glasses from the few concerts i have seen of him. Didn't this phenomena of wearing sun glasses/shades even at night start with Clan Wenge? I find it weird actually that someone could be on set being interviewed but they are wearing shades. For the stage on concerts i would understand because they are some who are extremely shy so the shades help them cut the eye contact with the audiences but a proven musicians doesn't need to wear them because that's the only chance as fans we have to see our stars.

Exactly my point. At night in a studio is a no no. Anyway most them wear them to show off the designer shades. ;D.

They are not glasses but fashion accessories, you can even drive with them at night. I am a fan of them!

Touché.  I'd rather buy shades that look good on my face rather than a brand name, although I do own a pair of Gucci shades.  I'd kill for the shades Franco had on that album cover, it's totally my style.

Reminds me of another legend but in American R&B.
