He says people know who he targeted when saying "thank God because my group album succeeded when other guys failed tremendously" talking about fally and he added that now all those guys younger than jb and werra are giving songs and albums to their group because his one with villanova succeeded(lool apart from zigida,even the disstrack against journalists did not go viral)

The rumbas of Libre Parcours are much better worked, the lyrics are much better and the compositions are too strong compared to Cursus. The only good rumba between those two albums are Sensation, Rosendan and that of Gattuso (don't remember the name) the only good things about the album are the three generique of Libre Parcours, I don't know why you say Fally is superior to Fabro, maybe in droit chemin days was through or in the Mascara days, but Fabregas really step up in his group album Lokolo, Noveau Monde, Piece Rare, Yamba BB, Usine and many others are pure Congolese music and not some cheesy rhumba/traditional music to make donorsyappy

Libre parcours was way better the only problem was promotion plus You're talking like fabregas and fally are even in the same league fally has 20+ years experience in the game you're just saying this cause you're joining the bandwagon of everyone on the forum ripping fally just cause of tokooos.... and okay Fally has liputa, associe, attente, Cadenas, service, travelling love... I can go on what does fabregas have to compete with them titles?? And the fact that fally hasn't released a rhumba or sebene since original shows that your point is invalid cause if he was during the same way fabregas has then maybe this would be up for discussion while it's not

lol, you have not listened to Libre Parcours properly. I gave Cursus a chance, and it does not hold a candle. The only outstanding issue with LP, is that Fally put it on the song participants to self-promote their songs, which they were not prepared to do. Otherwise they album was well-received when I was in Kin shortly after release in 2015. Libre Parcours #2 was a Europe-Africa sensation.

I will lie if I said that there are no good songs in Cursus but as I said before, the rumbas of Libre Parcours are much more serious. It is clear that Cursus was directed by young people while Libre Parcours was made by people much more professional than the entourage of Fabregas.
Among the songs you mentioned, which you call "traditional rumba", which of these songs is better than "Echantillon", "Formol", "Fin du monde", "Poisson d'avril", "Obligation du jour" ou "Cavalier". Even the weakest rumbas on this album are still better than Cursus songs.
In all respects, Fally is superior to Fabregas let's be realistic. The only one of this generation that can compete with Fally is Ferré. Musically with what work did Fabregas mark our generation apart from Ya Mado? None. What rumba of Fabregas represents him in our generation? None. I like the music of Fabregas but Fally is too far for him. Droit Chemin is the flagship album of our generation, Arsenal de Belles Mélodies a masterpiece. Will Fabregas make an album as well work as Power that is weaker than Droit Chemin and Arsenal de Belles Mélodies? Tokooos that you think of weak, except Fally in our generation none is able to realize an album of this caliber.

You criticize Libre Parcours because the album had a very weak promotion but if the promotion had been realized at 100% none would criticize this album in this way.

I agree. I have never been a fan of Fabregas's music but even if i was, i would never compare Fabregase to Fally. Fally is far too superior.
I digress. Last weekend had a chance of attending Fally's concert in Lusaka and Libre Parcours 2 was played. As good as the studio version is, the live version was even better. However, i noticed that Felly Tyson sat out the whole concert except at the end when it was time to perform "Eloko oyo".

Seriously guy ..there is no need to argue about these 2 album. Libre parcour is a classic album that did not get a proper promotion but managed to get some contracts out the country..while cursus was just a local success and congolese community abroad and was definitely well received but youngsters newly discovering congolese music. Fally did not play well when it came to promoting the album.. The album would have been huge success if only he was really involve into promoting it well himself. In opinion it was not a flop but just wrongly managed ..fabregas learned from it and worked on the promo but still when it come quality and melodies cursus does not stand ..LP is way better.
To be honest i have the album but the only song i listen to is zigida and the rest is luaza...
To me LP is on the same rank as TITANIC , mortal combat..Well realised and conceived but poorly received..

Sad to argue about these two guys who are both not as good really, even Retirada itself. I believe that Congolese music has gone soooo down. I personnally do not consider them leaders. They are not bringing the wow factor to Congolese music to the same level that some artists did in the 80s or 90s.
I always see their music as an appetizer while waiting for quality Congolese music from the likes of Bula , Karmapa, sometimes Koffi and even Ferre. It doesnt mean they are bad people though, dont get me wrong!!
