People always talk about Calvaire and ask Bouro to sing that song if they are interviewing him. But almost never ask about Likombe. I think that alot don't even know about that song or forgot quickly about it.

The song had in Kinshasa a delayed succes. It was due of Koffi not promoting Droit de Veto in Kinshasa, having released the VHS of that album only in Europe and everybody being focused on Cocktail, Intervention Rapide & Titanic. The song started to have succes when Academia were releasing videos and sending it to Kinshasa with Bouro there singing the song Likombe and people started to pay attention to it with also the song Prototype of Mboshi Lipassa.

You're right, the condensed clips for the album and unreleased Zenith of 98, this song would have been overtaken in popularity by Sens Inverse and others.

Is it just me or did Somono's contributions to the album feel minimal compared to prior animations, maybe he was falling out with Koffi by 1998

It’s underrated because it wasn’t promoted much when it came out and the album was out when they left to create Academia....similar to Heritier’s songs in Ingeta
