lol... “And his group” - it still mystifies me that Ferré has never taken the time to actually explain his group name (and it’s proper dictation).
You’d think a mega star like him would’ve done that from day 1.

my comment will be controversial and i apologize for it but it was basically G7 when they did their first concert in brazzaville then became jet set or les gaulois when they started coming to europe,but then in the logic of rivalry with the rival pretending his group is his name,it became "the group of ferre"

I hated that hall “Le Marnignan” there are many places in Brussels where you can perform, I don’t understanding why bandleaders and tour-promoters were liking it. It’s to small.
I regret that Ferre didin’t took the maximum out of his band (Chikito, Charly Solo, Nicodeme, etc.). You can feel that they had to potential to be the next dream-team of DR Congo. It would have been nice if he recorded a bandalbum after Qui Est Derrière Toi or Boite Noire. It would have take his band to the next level himself also.

It was Ferre’s G7. G7 Des As was a band based in Brazzaville, who was active since the late 90’s.
