Fally Ipupa, Heritier & Ferre need also to perform in Japan like Zaiko, Papa Wemba and Emeneya did and export our music to the West-Indies and Latin America which Soukous artists like Aurlus Mabele, Dr Sakis, Diblo Dibala and Kanda Bongo Man used to do.

I would say Emeneya was the last person to perform in Japan because I never have seen another Congolese artist perform in Japan.

Papa Wemba went there again in 1992 or 1993. After it Emeneya and Papa Wemba several contracts to perform there with their bands Nouvelle Ecriture and Victoria Eleison Dream Team Dream-band, but they kept refusing they prefered to tour 8/9 monts long in Europe. The same for Werrason somewhere around 1999. Alot of artists received contracts to perform in Suriname, but they weren't interested.

But recently Luciana, Stino and Maray Maray went to perform there for a tribute to Papa Wemba, but it looked more like a concert for the Congolese community (which didn't really exist back in the 90's and 80's. The same Luciana used to have a band called Zipompa Pomba which went to perform in South Corea and Algeria (with Celeo). They wanted also to perform in Japan, but the combattans went to cancel that show.
