Sounds like Emeraude Season 2. The flatness in Canne a Sucre, then this underwhelming photocopy of Emeraude, Fally needs to put a bit more effort in his writing and singing. There was this time when a friend of mine came to my hostel in campus and Eternellement was playing and it was his first time of listening to the song, he asked me who the artist was and I told him then the comment he made was that if Fally ever came to a funeral and sang whoever was dead would just rise to savour that beautiful voice. He has been an ardent Fally fan since then. I miss that soulful Fally that sang Cadenas, Attente and some of his beautiful early rhumbas. He is good at getting social media following, adopting titles like GOAT, King and is an aggressive marketer but this is way below what I expected after all this waiting. Good thing for him is that taste and preferences cover the whole spectrum and for those like me who think this is more crap than masterpiece, there will be an almost equal number or more who will think this is the next blockbuster of course accompanied by a million views within hours. I have not lost hope though and I am keenly waiting for the full album and I will pray and fast that out of the 30 songs I will find at least 10 unforgettable rhumbas I will want to listen to more than 5 times daily.

Damn, how old is Alita Tshamala? He was basically the first to have a hit rhumba in a dono’s name in the early 80’s and he’s still getting songs

He’s become a specialist in empty sounding rhumbas.. get a song, switch names around, and sing it one take.
Often times now certain songs aren’t played in concert because the leader doesn’t remember the lyrics

Beginning was alright, but like it's been for most Fally rhumbas since Power it's just not like Droit Chemin and Arsenal. It's not looking too good for Fally; Ecole, Canne a Sure and now this have all been misses ( the objective people will agree) 28 more songs to really confirm whether Fally is really done. I'm still with QQJD, and Fabregas, Light Music Villanova rhumbas good melodies with good lyrics to go with it.

But his fanbase is too fickle to realize that. Between his female fanbase, his yesmen around the world, his obesseion with views, and the journalists in his pocket.. I think he's gone past the point of no return
There will be moments where he's humbled like that embarrassment at the BET awards, but he truly thinks he's a king amonst us Africans

I've just heard the song, and it's alright. Just nothing special or even memorable, like Fally's recent output. I'm just hoping for some quality surprises next week.

You're right. But the reality is going to catch him soon. It always does.
He has the same level of arrogance Koffi had in the early 2000's. The difference being Koffi had nothing to prove at that point. He did everything. Meanwhile, Fally became drunk with success too soon.
