Something I noticed about African (traditional ) Dances:
From the North, the focus is on the head, shaking the head and jumping, Arabian style.
In East Africa the focus is on the shoulders ( Nyatiti, Kilume, e.t.c)
As you go Lower down East Africa, the focus is on the Waist, and the gyrations of the same
down in south Africa the focus is on the feet, with the intricate footwork and jumps on toes.
Anybody notice this as well?

in West Africa the dances are complete except for Ivory Coast which is obsessed with Booty and Congolese music, Ghana, Nigeria, Togo dances are more complete Azonto is a full body dance lile AlQaida, Sankoro Gweta, Hiplife (mainly dances by P-Square) while Senegal is a place where man don't dance that much, is the woman who dances with Booty also the Leumbeul, they have more of a tradition of Griot (the guys who werre telling all the stories of all the generation of all families in the village) which I think is the main reason why Rap was created it is like a continuing of the Griot tradition.
