I stand to be corrected but i have never heard of any Extra Musica rumba as good as this one. Normally when someones hears the name Extra Musica we normally associate it with top generiques not rumbas. Everything is just top notch in this track. Been on repeat for some days now.

For me i know why i could have missed out on the many nice rumbas. Back then when these albums came out i remember listening to the generiques through out wherever i went. Generiques like Trop cest trop, etat major, obligatoire and shalai simply took over the airwaves in every place including pubs and tarvens.

If I remember well Oxygene, Herman Ngakassi, Papy Bastin, Kerson Saddam, Levyson "Ba Mpema", Rossen Yaourt and Tchakou Totapen.

I never liked Levyson; he has spent his whole career copying Herman Ngakassi. If you remove his vocals from this album, it wouldn't make the music any better or worst. He is just there to imitate and eventually unsettled Herman.
Where is Kerson Saddam today? He is the only former member of Extra Musica Zangul that sorta disappeared after Universal Zangul broke up.

I don’t believe that Levyson started to copy Herman Ngassaki. Maybe Guy-Guy Fall or Werrason, but not Herman. Because before joining Extra Musica, he used to be an member of Z1 International having already toured in Europe in 2000, performing then at Casino de Paris and also af Bataclan with Anti Choc & Adolphe Dominguez. Before that he used to be one of the many reserve singers of Extra Musica.

Herman Ngassaki himself is a big copy of Guy-Guy Fall & Werrason. Levyson, Ngassaki & Guy-Guy Fall are all in the school of Werrason. Like the way Apocalyps, Serge Mabiala, Marie Paul, Werrason, Stino Mubi, Reddy Amisi, Joly Mubiala, etc. (the list is long) are in the school of King Kester Emeneya.

Yes, you are right. I didn’t watch the clip. I thought that it was Aigle Imperial, but it’s Epaka. The way the made those errors on the tracklist creates till this day alot confusion. (Gyrophare mistaken for l’Oublier, Epaka mistaken for Aigle Imperial.)

Yes I have noticed that mistake too. Aigle Imperial is nice and but Epaka is even more addictive if there is such a thing. Lol... I normally listen to both these songs one after the other.
