that was a guy called pitshou who left after being left behind,bcbg had 9 soloists at that time in total

I was liking those events of ACMCO alot, but their choices were sometimes strange. I remember Werrason being angry in 2002 of not having won the prices best song of the year, best songwriter and best composer which all went to jb for sans te toucher and jeannette, having also to share the price best star of the year with JB Mpiana. Saying then that it was a fraud and that they did it all to do please someone hahaha.

I guess that some journalists were fighting to eachother for the choise of "Meilleur Vedette de l'Annee", because why splitting that category in two part ? I think that some were scared for the Maison Mere fanatics. But for me the best star of 2000 was Werrason because of his big events (Bercy, Stade des Martyrs, Luanda, etc.). JB Mpiana had also a good year with the succes of TH, but there weren't big events like in 1999.

yeah i heard that some even fought over those prices even in ndule awards recently papy mboma saved at last minute a strong argument during one of the ceremonies which almost went on air, also if artists did not win they would not come  and even if they won for most it  was "just" ndule awards not kora or kunde

Those bandleaders are like babies. I watched Joe Bagato's interview yesterday and it shocked me alot. Those musicians have to much power.
