Biya Chante really sounds like Pepe Kalle on this album. I understand now why he was pissing Pepe Kalle off before joining Empire Bakuba.

I feel for Lofombo. He put alot of energy in this album and even paid some studio sessions with his own money, but didn't get anything in return. He wasn't able to promote this album in Kinshasa, because of not him not being able to return to Kinshasa and being forced to do some little jobs here and there and doing session work for other artists. Seeing then key-members like John Scot, Ile de Camboge and Teka Diobanza leaving his band for Quartier Latin and Maison Mere.

 maybe if pepe was still alive that album would be like cocktail success wise

What songs are Biya Chante heard because I didn't hear his voice and was he in Empire Bakuba at the time?

What was keeping Lofombo from returning to Kinshasa? He should have been more patient, he had a good album on his hands.

In the end, his session work during that period were for a lot of classic albums.

I always thought that it was him, because of his name being writing somewhere to have participated on that album or booklet. I don't remember since that its almost 20 years ago.

I don't know, he never made it clear in interview. He only said that he had some serious problems. Then with all important members leaving Delta Force, he decided to start a new life in Europe, thinking about moving his wive Chala Mama (rip) and children there, but then people convinced him to go back in Kinshasa which he did in 2004.

Yeah, for example Madilu's Bonheur and on Karmapa's album Je m'Appelle Toi. He did a good job on those albums.
