I hope that they will soon upload the whole interview of Lutumba explaining how they founded Bana Ok in 1993.

I noticed that almost all our legends die abroad (Lutumba Simaro, Tabu Ley, Franco, Papa Wemba, King Kester Emeneya, Grand Kalle Jeff,..)
-
I never noticed that God works in his own ways.

I have remained speechless. One of the biggest loss to #RumBa fans in the world.
-
I was really hoping this was one of those sick April fools day thing but it’s not. A legend who deserves more than just a road named after him but even more...R.I.P Simaro. Glad most musicians honoured and appreciated him while he was alive.
-
What he predicted happened,he said mokolo nakokufa kafe ekobeta'(the day i will die there will be thunder) and people witnessed that in kinshasa

RIP Lutumba Simaro Masiya 'Le Poete'
This is one musician who's life should be an example to the younger generation of musicians.
His loyalty to the band ( TP OK) and his friend Franco is legendary.
He was widely respected in his life due to the fact that he lived his life the way he sung. To him Music was life and his message reflected everyday life, and the musician's job was to point out the way of life to the listener.
Who will take drops of wisdom and put them into song for us now that he is no more?
It is a sad day one earth.
Masiya pesela ngai mbote na Franco Luambo,
Papa Lutumba pesela ngai mbote na Emeneya Kester,
Masiya pesela ngai mbote na Madilu Bialu,
Lutumba pesela ngai mbote na Papa Wemba,
Massiya pesela ngai mbote na Tanu Ley Rochereau,
Papa pesela ngai mbote na Pepe Kalle,
Masiya pesela ngai mbote na Grand KALE,
Lutumba pesela ngai mbote na Nicko KASANDA,

Let us continue to honor his legacy by preserving his music and introducing it for the generations to come.
Rest in power, Papa Simaro
