his house was like most houses of wealthy/comfortable people not that easy to enter with high walls and security,but that day one of he then had two "normal" guardians and as if it was all planned the guardian disappeared that day without authorization pretending to be gone to a funeral

Even if it wasn't an April fools story, this is too hard to believe. I had an analysis about the musical landscape of 1998 planned out, and I was going to mention him. Maitre Saah was one of the biggest producers of African music during the turn of the millennium, so it's heartbreaking to hear of his tragic fate.

I thought that it was a joke. In the last 5 years we heard alot of crazy stories about him who were false. Like the one of Saudi Arabia. It seems that he had alot of problems.
It would be nice if Werrason and Felix Wazekwa go to Cameroun. Because Jean Pierre Saah contributed alot in their career.

Back in 2003 there was a arrest warrant against Jean Pierre Saah in France. The police suspected him of being a intermediary of a mafia-group in Miami and using his musiclabel JPS Production as money laundering for his black business. That's why he runaway from France and went to Cameroun. Zaiko, Madilu, Felix Wazekwa, Werrason and co had then to look for other musiclabels.

Guys like Bob Masua, Rigo Makengo and Jimmy Mukelenge used to attack him often in interviews about those connections and said that they are on the same level. Adding that JPS impress those artists by letting them drive lambo's, eating in expensive restaurants, etc. which was part true. Giving them a huge amount of money and letting them signs contract without reading it, discovering then months later that they won't receive royalties because they accepted to give all their rights to JPS lol hahahahahahahaha.

Has any of our Congolese artists ever charted on the music charts abroad like SNEP? All those people who showed up for Zenith, Olympia, and so forth were commerical consumers of those albums being bought from major distributors.

No, no one has ever charted on music charts in Europe. Only Papa Wemba back with his album Emotion in 1995 who was charted in USA and France (because of the song Fa Fa Fa Fa) and who became in 1999 gold in the USA. In 1984 he was also charted in France for the insturment of the song Proclamation who was the soundtrack of the movie Black Mic Mac and Fally Ipupa nowadays with Tokooos and the singles he made with Aya Nakamura, Naza, Keblack and MHD who are French stars. I'm sure that alot have forgotten those songs already.

All those people who showed up for Zenith, Olympia and Bercy were people of the Congolese and African community. Hence why the musicians themselves and the press kept saying that it was "miziki ya ghetto". Also those albums like Loi, Foridoles, Solola Bien, etc. had only succes in the African community of Europe. The music they were doing was/is also commercial engough,sound too African and were to long. That's also why the European/American respects Papa Wemba more than legends like Franco Luambo Makadi, Grand Kalle and Tabu Ley, because he was making music that white-people were liking.

Those events at Zenith, Olympia and Bercy weren't promoted by the European media. It were just big fanclubs and influent people like Photo Joel Mbetenge, Shaguy Sharoufa, etc. mobilizing people for those events. Koffi Olomide tried to get in touch with the French media to let them promote his event at Bercy, because of being the first African artist to perform there. But they were all refusing. The crazy thing is that they suddenly reported the concert on their channels.

Those musiclabels Sonodisc, JPS Production, Somina, SIPE Production, Syllart Productions weren't major labels or labels who were distributed by the majors (Sony, Universal, BMG, Virgin, etc.). Sonodisc for example was a European label that totally depended on African Music which was pissing Verckys off.

Thinking then that Werrason would pay him some money after it as reward which didn't happen. That's also why he decided to support Adolphe Dominguez back in 2000, but he returned to the Maison Mere-camp, because they needed him for the Double Zenith-event. I knew alot of secrets and was very important. That's also why he became a combattant, like many other people who used to support musicians and became broke which created some jealousy and anger. Seeing those leaders that building villa's and them having nothing and the same leaders they supported, don't receiving them at home in Kinshasa and sometimes even humilating them while they took alot of risks. That were one of the reasons why the succes of Congo-Music in Paris and Brussels started to slow down in 2002, because influent people started to stop supporting them, being dissapointed and some also started to get arrested for some business.

Musicians are like politicians, very selfish, or I would say anybody with a celebrity status is unpredictable. Never get into any pact with one without a proper written contract. Musicians will want everything for free, free sex, food, ride, drinks name it.

exactly and one of the reasons which make them not respect people enough is when they start to be on serious rise or they are already at the top they say to themselves everybody is replaceable so no matter how you contributed if you cant bow down and say amen to everything bye bye there is somebody else waiting to grab your position and after him hundreds who dream to be in his position
when you can confront them they feel so insecure,i wont mention group but for example there is an ex partner of a group until today mentioning his name around members of that group you can feel anxiety because that guy went toe to toe wih them and if not for high level intervention he was ready to take it very very far

legal battles,that guy is one of the rare guys who gave a bit of a hard time to musician despite most musicians of that level being friends with people at the absolute top of the country including the president himself,there is one two three musicians who were able at times to see president without being invited and being announced
