Is it true that Fabregas spent 200.000 dollars for his album, but isn’t able to sell more than 1000 CDS ? Or is he just angry that Fabregas choose Michel Bass as arranger instead of him who used to arrange all his albums?

100k is very easily possible nowadays,then over 100K also, i remember 13eme apotre was around 200K(180 i think) and its not impossible that fabro also claimed a bigger amount than he spent to impress
but honestly i dont see any attack towards michel,his question makes total sense if we forget who he is
look at how many albums our artists release but cant even get a gold disk for it even years after
i think he'd attack michel if he said album was bad,maybe it can be a diss to fabro,but other than the supposed diss,his question makes perfect sense

Damn than we got a serious problem. Ndombolhino kind of mocked bandleaders 3 weeks ago by asking why they don’t make their albumsales public like French and American artists.

i think our albums sell 10K in the first month or two months but then start going one by one by one by one super super slowly,you'll see a lot of buzz and noise on internet and tv but album is stuck to 24300 cds sold since months or years

yeah, but that's is/wasbecause Congolese people mostly ask to their friends or relatives if they have the new Koffi, JB or Werra disc and if they could then make a copy for them."ah vieux oza na disc ya Ferre? Salela nga copy moko". You got more than 100.000 Congolese people in Europe who do that (not even couting those who are born here). If the majority would buy discs then artists like Fally would easily get gold records and platina discs in France maybe even double platina.
Back in the days when Boite Noire came out, I thougt that Ferre would be the first Congolese artist ever to get gold records in multiple countries like American artists. Because in the first week Boite Noire was n1 on Itunes for album sales in France, Belgium, Switserland and Canada. In France he had sold 10.000 copies in the first 5h. But 2 months after it, it became silent and we never heard how much they sold in total.

I wonder if you had also a VHS/cassette d'or back in the 90s and early 2000s, because some Congolese artists used to sell at some point more VHS tapes than the cd-version of their album. If those DVD's that Diego Music, Luxene Musengi, Major Bisadidi, Somina, etc. were selling in Belgium and France were controlled then it would rain DVD d'or and platine in the Congolese community because you had just to sell 7500 for a DVD d'Or and 15.000 Dvd for a DVD Platine, back in those days Congolese people were buying more Dvds than cds. I'm sure that Koffi Chante Tabu Ley would have been a DVD Diamant if the sales proces was well controled.

Shame this album is a flop. Strong génériques and decent rhumbas... maybe the timing and marketing was off. He even took the high road to mend his polemics. Where does he go from here?

i have just asked a reliable guy around musicians and it was 183500 dollars,only topped by balle de match which hard disk messed up twice so they restarted a lot of things
i think also the fact koffi liked to do studio on lock out mode contributed,man would take full weeks from himself,sing drink eat sleep and slip into the gyaldem pants there :D :D :D :D
