It was because they started with the rumba-songs since Horizon 2000.

Roga Roga just wanted to have two songs on Obligatoire to sing by hisself to give the public a preview for on the next Extra Musica-album (La Main Noire) which had to be Roga Roga's first solo album, but creation of Universal Zangul made him change his mind and give his collegues (Herman, Espe, Rama & Sonor) the opportunity to put songs on that album, in order to counter Universal Zangul.
Also Horizon 2000 wasn't Extra Musica first rumba. on the first album Nouveaux Missiles, you had the Detresse, followed by Love in Love in Confirmation and later on Hommage (Ouragan) and Villegiature of Etat Major.
Horizon 2000 was meant to have Oxygene as lead singer of the album, but on the last minute Roga Roga decided to give Doudou Copa the role to sing lead on that song and it made Doudou Copa very famous and respected after being years long in the shadow of first Guy Guy Fall, Quetin Moyascko and Herman Ngassaki.

Yeah, it was also a good album. But i didn't like the way Rossen coming with his comedy in Gyrophare & Redoutable. Since 2000 he was singing normal.

But about the authors of Tapis Rouge i don't know. Only on the clips i saw: Pepero and the generic (Oxygene), Tout a coup (Papy Bastin) & Yaourt Love (Rossen).
