Qui est Derriere Toi used to be like Arsenal des Belles Melodies, the most awaited album of 2009. Before and after the release of both albums, there was alot of polemic and people tried to compare both albums.

The album was announced for 2008, but I guess that they didn't start recording yet. Then it was announced for 14 february 2009, like many albums, but still didn't come out. Then sudddenly extrats of the generique and the song Zazou got leaked on internet and a gothic poster came to announce the album (that poster scared alot of people), with Ferre Gola saying that the album would come in July '09 and his musicians in meantime attacking Fally. Saying that he would get a big "fimbu" and mocking his album (Arsenal des Belles Melodies was then just released on the market and the Congolese press and public started to claim that it was a flop, not on the level of Droit Chemin and that he would soon finish like Sam Tshintu and other musicians who came from Quartier Latin with journalists like Noella Mandinga & Papy Mboma confronting fally about his album and Fally doing is best to defend himself). QEDT still didn't released got released then and from September '09 posters were getting put the walls of Chateaux Rouge and Matonge with its release being announced for the same month, but it still didn't came. Then finally the album got released on October the 15th and alot of copies being sold the same day.

Classic. The best song of the album are Diki Diki, 12 Heures and Zazou. But i liked the 2 generics and Joao Ndombele. QEDT is my favorite album ever.

Really a classic. People say that Boite Noire is his best album but for me QEDT is the best album of Ferré so faaaar. Everything was on point (quality, generique, rumba, his voice, arrangment...)

this poster wasn't the cover of the DVD. The cover of the DVD was almost like that of the CD-version (Ferre was then raising his hand on it).

Ferre started recording in Kinshasa and did a part in Europe, because he wasn't able to bring his musicians to Europe. He had then a problem with Fridolin (who organised his first tour in Europe) for not respecting the contract and he was also fearing that his musicians might run away. So he recorded some songs in Europe with Mchel Bass, Fila Basele, Sec Bidens, Chibida, Celezino, Biva Ray, etc. Some were already finished in Kinshasa, but Olivier Tshimanga then added his touch (songs like Maboko Pamba). Then he returned back to Kinshasa again to record Jao Ndombele and the two generiques (because he wanted to have all new cries on his album. often when artists record their album in Kinshasa and finsih them in Europe, often new cries appear in Kinshasa. So to not miss those cries, he decided to record the generiques as last part. Like way Fally also did with A2BM who ws already finished since a 1 year when they came to perform at Elysee Montmarte with his band back in 2008, but he recorded then Bicarbonate on the last minute in Kinshasa, beside Sexy Dance and Chaise Electrique which he in Europe.

Yeah, I know, but they could be afraid of watching DVDs of the genre in horror film, including these productions like Didier Ndenga, and several directors at that time, moreover I had this DVD which belonged to my father, and I could tell you that in the DVD menu, there was a blue band thing by adding the photo cover from the back with the music of a concert singing Maboko Pamba.
