Some lyrics from JB Mpiana’s song Esau are the handwriting of Bogus Bompema’s artists.
In these images you will see Bogus singing a piece of Esau within the band
Nouvelle Ecrita of Papa Wemba in a rehearsal session in Kinshasa in early 1998.

yes he was already singing that part when he was working  in private with jb and doing his solo album then went with it in viva la musica and since they did not use it in viva he brought it when he returned next to jb

So a lot of these songs are written years ago before they appear on albums? I like this rhumba version of Esau better than JB Mpiana

Yes especially jb and werra have quite some old songs their private writers have reworked with them well after
or one musician who is in touch with songwriters would get an old song from a pire vieux who is songwriter in the shadow for several artists then use it when he want, a simple example alain mpela heard pacte divin of internet in mid 1980's and he gave it to his cousin seguin in 2001
