Unfortunately yes. It is not unfrequent to hear male Congolese people who say "Aaah oza pe pembe te" which means you are not even that white that usually they say whem a girl is giving them trouble. Ifor example has been subjected to this since whem I was little I was very lightskin almost white and people used ti say that I was beautiful (don't know if it was fir the skin or for the beauty in itself) now that I am grown and darker I have heard a friend of my mom saying "Hmm ezali mawa trop que Manzambi abungisi pembe naye " which means: "It is a shame that Manzambi lost his whiteness". I have heard of older woman (40+) taking bleaching cream ad using it. Church Members, people everybody are bleaching and this is why I really don't like hanging with these groups of people. Furthermore it seems that most of Congolese women who were born in Congo and came fresh of the boat are so in love with white people. YOU WILL NEVER EVER EVER see them with black people or Congolese people as partner. Ihave so much friends both male and female qho married White girls/boys out of desire fir being accepted into white society/being White that is almost sad to think about it. Europe is becoming Arab land because Arabs stick to their own despite whatever while us Congolese and Angolans it seems we hate each other. Conolese people.do bleach theirselves but Amgolans? Man Angolans really see themselves as Portoguese people even though they aren't infact I have very few Angolan and Congolese firends because of this. Youare reminded everytime that youare black and you ought to be white or search for things from the white people. That is the reason why Maitre Gims, Niska and Naza gets way more credit than Werrason, Koffi & Fally.
