This must have been the peak of the QL-BCBG beef.
-
Kiekie, legendary beef. You know it’s serious when Felly Tyson is talking sh*t on the mic; usually he couldn’t be bothered and is the quietest guy ever for what he’s accomplished
Trop faible, lokola tomate ... “You are crrraaazyy mannnn, what dou want... ooooo, à suivre” ;D

I remember when buying a polemic DVD/VHS’ was like buying a latest movie DVD. I watched this at my friend’s when it first came out. Very entertaining, though it was a tragedy for the future of the genre

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA it's ridiculous man he looks so out place (even him trying to throw mibwakela it comes off like a politician). The chorus of Jean Marie lukulasi annoys me because of his exagération in french
-
Classic ;D :D I sometimes miss these old polemic DVD’s & VHS
-
This was the famous VHS where Fally killed Kibens's career ;D ;D ;D

Speaking of which; where is our brother EMOVICTEAM, formerly EMOBCBG?

This polemic was so extreme and the first of it’s kind really with how vicious the attacks were, particularly with the leaders present. Subsequent polemics were like this and this behavior became the norm.
-
For me this was the day Congolese music died, this was so low even for someone like Koffi.

This was the famous VHS where Fally killed Kibens's career ;D ;D ;D
lol kibens has never forgiven him for that, when fally was coming to bcbg concerts or rehearsals jdl who is his pire vieux of bandal, chai who knew him from bcbg tests, genta and djino who are his friends since class and other guys rushed to speak with him kibens just shut his eyes with his cap and acted like he did not see him
until one day jb forced him to salute him but still until today kibens has it very hard to talk about fally,he'll happy talk about mpangi ferre, heritier who he shared room with at jb's house and other guys

Why Fally attacked only Kibens and not another person ?
-
easy target, they knew he was "different" to congolese musicians, bill clinton also attacked kibens a lot even on terrain eza mine, even when there was fights between them musicians the rivals of bcbg were always looking to attack kibens first
you'll notice for whatever reason since alain mpela's departure, kibens is the person people automatically think about when talking about bcbg, they always start "na bcbg ba kibens and then mentioning other guys"
-
Fally & Jipson were the ones that made me laugh the most kiekiekie! But I've always wanted to know what Koffi's response was, since JB was the only leader we saw responding whilst there was only a short clip of Koffi singing "S.O.S".
-
Koffi already said everything on an interview (Feux Vert) he made with Zacharie Bababaswe after JB's Bercy, mocking about the way JB wasn't able to sell Bercy out.
In fact, JB Mpiana and his musicians were reacting to Koffi's interview with Zacle and those of QL were reacting against BCBG the day after it.

Ohhh I seeeee! Is there a link to it on YouTube somewhere?!
-
No, those interviews of Feux Vert are nowhere on youtube, only the one of VHS "Conflict Wenge" 1998.

I'll probably ask Ingénieur!
-
I don't think that Ingenier will have it. Because Zacle's interviews of Feux Verts who were made when he used to live in Europe (1998-2003) were rarely released on VHS, like those of his rival Serge Kayembe. They were destined to the public living in Kinshasa. Zacle only released a VHS of Maison Mere's tour in 2002 (filming how they were recording A La Que Leu Leu & the BHS of Double Zenith), VHS of Wenge Maison Mere reacting against Adolphe Dominguez and one with the collaboration of Jacko Sayala which was "Qui Dit Vraie/Koffi Olomide-Papa Wemba" after Koffi's Olympia with his dancers and Koffi mocking about the way Wemba's dancers ran away and explaining why he left Suzuki behind. The rest his interviews were released as small extrats on VHS of concerts, for example some of Academia and polemic compilations.

Damn, everyone comes down so hard on Kibens! LMFAO
-
LOL just imagine if Jf Ifonge was still in QL at the time he’d have a field day ;D :D

He was a buldozer in polemic. Remember how he dissed Koffi when he left QL with Depitcho or the way he ridiculized JB Mpiana & Nyoka Longo on tv in Kinshasa.

Did nobody notice the way Tutu Calugi was disrespecting Koffi whe he was animating. Animating about the way he bleanched his skin (his feet are burned, but his face is light), he stole Malou Bomboka's videorecorder, those parfums he stole in Switserland, mercedes keys he stole from a West-African man, etc.

about kibens i remember in one of the maison mere bcbg fights in a nightclub bill and baby came with determination to fight against them who were in the nightclub way before and their first target was kibens who was sitting alone while others were dancing and heritier who anticipated sent his guard to move kibens to toilet then it ended up in a brawl which only calmed down when genta arrived and gave the big up salute to bill and baby

lmao, this beef was so vicious and petty. Our equivalent of the East coast/west coast rap beef of the 90's

Thank you big bro I was about to ask y’all what is behind the story of « bague ya mercedez » which i first heard in poison of zaiko.
So are we ok to say, koffi won the beef?
But damn it was vicious, koffi was a real troublemaker.
-
after this video, bcbg filled the stage of martyrs more than koffi during their beef... and many people called koffi, bin Laden, and that he was not Congolese ...
bcbg was stuck in kin because of the Ngulu affair, many people said it was koffi behind it (wemba, nyosh, koffi's enemies were arrested and put in prison).. koffi changed targets after that, attacking werra especially after the marquis' departure ...
-
In opinion Koffi won the battle, but not the war. Because he went to ask for a ceasefire just before the creation of Maisha Parc. Getting attacks from Werra's camp since 2002 and wanted to concentrate on one rival.
Koffi wasn't able to equal JB's amout of spectators at Stade des Martyrs and was accused from the left to right for having for opened the gates, to get people also on the lawn. Later on Quartier Latin would not be able to respond to the many attacks of BCBG (Calugi, JDL and Seguin), Jordan who wanted to stop with insulting Koffi's rivals (getting then punished for that) and Calugi calling himself MMMM (Mopao Mokonzi Mobongisi Monene). With then also the beef coming about the nickname Hero National and JB Mpiana at some point having made new portals who were almost like those Koffi who lives next to him, and Koffi then becoming furious and sending a guy to damage it by driving into it with his car.

If I remember well, that was in volume 3 of Heures de Pointe, when BCBG and Kis Kisolokele attacked Koffi for blocking them in Kinshasa like he did to Nyoka Longo and promising that they would come soon in Europe, which didn't happen
-
Koffi and jb its like tom and jerry these guys have beef but in kin at least they always buy houses in same areas, if one buys a car the other has to revenge either with the same or better or something of that level
-

Haha, funny you mention that. A friend of mine went to Mount Fleury a while back and went to both their houses. He curiously noted that koffi and JB literally had the same cars - Cadillac Escalades, Mercedes G wagon, Pontiac Solstice, etc. Only difference was the colors. Really a case of keeping up with the Jones’
-
Koffi definitely won the battle. As Jipson said, "Soki osali mpiaka, eza mpiaka" JB didn't fill Bercy, whereas Koffi did! Montana even mentioned how Koffi was broadcasted on CNN also and when Koffi did Bercy that à lot of white people talked about it! No matter how many times BCBG will come at Quartier Latin, they'll still lose. Imagine if Bouro was in the video. It would've been a family feud between him and Alain!
-
Yes, koffi won but we must not forget that bcbg played just after September 11 ... ten days after it seems to me ... in France it was the vigipirate plan ... everyone was afraid .... a lot of rumors concerning the cancellation of concert because of the attack ... it was not the same context ... as said mfumu, Koffi won the battle but not the war. after that there was the martyrs war ... koffi delivered the worst concert of all martyrs concerts and the least filled ...
-
Musically Koffi won too, Effrakata everyone knows was way better than Internet, even Internet was a classic album. Monde Arabe much better than Anti Terro too.
-
Even while watching the whole thing, you could tell that QL were really going hard on BCBG, just by their reactions and tone of voice.
