I'm having this debate with some friends and most of em are saying Kerzone I'm siding with Apla. Who do you guys think is better?

Come on now, don’t disrespect le meilleur Alatakou-chanteur “Djino Comé Comé” Alphtshino (RIP) like that. He was a complete artist, whilst Kero lost his voice before he was 20. The passion he had while had while animating way very admirable
I love prime Kero, but I do not think the two should be compared. He was limited compared to his contemporaries

Both men are great atalaku, but Alpa trumps Kero simply because of his versatility. Before he joined NE, he was part of Vieux Ngadios' Chic-Choc Loyenge band and if you listen to any song on both albums, you'd find that Alpa was the true star. He could hold an entire song on his own, sebene or rumba. Can you imagine Bebe Kero doing the same?

Kerozene was a good atalaku, but I will go for Alpatchino.
But thinking about Alpatchino, Alpatchino was normally not an atalaku. He came to Nouvelle Ecriture as a singer, but Wemba said to him that something was missing. (wanting to say indirectly to him that he had to animate like he used to do in Chic-Choc Loyenghe of comedian Ngadiadia where he was often animating after having finished singing). From the second rehearshal in Village Molokai, he started with some animations and its from there where the legend started. He animated on Fula Ngenge, La Une and Bakala Dia Kuba, then when CCP came in as atalaku he abandonned animating and became a normal singer. I don't know why, but Alpa was often making me emotional when animating (listen to the seben of Moperewe or the cri "batu ya afrique babinisi batu ya afrique, tozonga na kati ya village molokai, place histoire ebanda." in the A La Une-generique with Mogratana with his lead guitar on the background). Alpa's voice was very special. I will listen immeditaly to the A La Une-album.
I think that people would see Alpatchino as best atalaku ever of his generation or as Tutu Calugi's rival, if Bill Clinton didn't exist, because in those days he was always ending second behind Bill as atalaku of the year in those ACMCO-referedums.

What? Mwalimu, were he was the big star of 2000 in rhumba and animating all the fire sebene, then Bakala Dia Kuba where again, he excelled on animation and vocals. Then you have Somo Trop, where he and Bendoson had the best song on the album “Esprit Ya Sika”

After Fula Ngenge he made the A La Une-generique which made whole DRC, Congo Brazza and its diaspora dance "Nouvelle Ecriture e confirme na Zenith, aah botikeeeh, aah botika miziki. Mosala ya pamba, botika miziki, lifuti eza te, botika miziki". Then after it he made Bakala Dia Kuba which was also a succes and participated to the Fara-fara mixtape volume 2.
