For starters, I suggest that both of you check out Sala Noki, Tremblement de Terre and Guerre de 100 Ans. Matter of fact, listen to every album Defao put out between 1997-2000. He already has some great albums before this period such as Famille Kikuta and Amour Scolaire, but the streak from Amour Interdit to Nessy de London is his winning album streak.

This was when Defao had to restart Big Stars after that all his musicians ran away (Djodjo Bayinge, Guy Bagger, Jagger Bokoko, etc.) in Europe after touring 1 year long. People taught that he would fall, but he became stronger with the team that Montana recruited in Kinshasa and those who stayed behind along with Burkina Faso who came from Wenge Musica (after spending some weeks with El Paris). 

I wonder what would have happened if Defao returned to Kinshasa in 2000 after the disbanding of Big Stars and Nessy  de London.

The only person that returned to Kinshasa with Defao was vocalist Debleu Kinanga.

He didn't return immediatly. He stayed in Europe, but after some months he got deported.

Wow, and all this time he returned the same time but at least returned to Europe in the late 90s.

He didn't went to Europe for the second (only solo). Before that Big Stars went to the USA, he was victim of a car accident with people started to claim that they wanted to sacrific him. But he luckily he was still alive. Then he decided to join Blaise Bula's band and participated on the Ponderation 8 album (in the song Ligo Djeny he throw some shots towards Big Stars). When Defao and co heard that he joined Ponderation 8, they sended a visa and a ticket to him, which made him join them in Canada. But after having performed in Montreal, he also immediately left with Big Stars continuing the tour until that they disbanded in Switserland.

I thought he was a guest on Blaise Bula's album never knew he threw shots at Big Stars.
