Wana il faut ezala envoutement or strong nkisi from ya Bakongo, how can you be a co-founder and leave the band behind from someone who came like 3 years later after the band creation. It really sad how Choc Stars, because it was a real band and them completing eacher, it was not that one person was shining the rest out. This interview made also me immediatly understand why he joined Zaiko, because I found it years long a weird move. From being a co-founder to become a simple musician. Women of that era were really patient, because it look like 2 years when Zaiko came back to Europe. If it was a woman of this era she would cheated on him, because many are now obessed with sex. I think that Roxy meant Debaba, but didn't want to mention his name because he already died when they recorded this video. Because Debaba became the sole leader on the end and Ben didn't sing anymore with the press started to claim that he was killing Choc Stars by wanted to become the only leader. But it didn't work when he was the only one until that he decided to become a 'brother in christ'. I hope one day that his famous testimony of 1994, get uploaded on youtube.

Don't believe the story of Maya & Carlyto. Back in the days people were saying that he became a brother in christ, because of being getting AIDS, thiking that he would die very soon and also a pact also going about to end and him quickly running away to get saved. Carlyto is btw the only musicians who became a brother in christ while his album was n1 in the topcharts. Mort-Mort once said that he changed the "numero" of one artist whose pact was about to end and restarted it from 0 to start his gospel-career. I always thought like alot of people that the sung Ingratitude was destinated to Madilu, because of the song l'Eau and the way he was attacking him by saying "yo ozo meka nga' and "tonton il faut koyekola ko banga nga" until I met a guy who's from Lingwala and said that it was destined to Carlyto. In the song Lutumba attacked him very hard by saying "Obengi nga ndoki, po yo moko oza ndoki eeh, obenga nga magicien, po okola na nkisi eeh, obenga nga marabout, po natindi yo osambela" "motema nayo ya lokoso yango ezangisa yo" as a reponse to the way Carlyto was saying that Lutumba initiated him through the song Maya, claiming that Maya is a mermaid.

Bolowa Bonzwaka said himself in interviews that Debaba wanted to get rid of Defao, Carlyto so he can be on his own but Debaba forgot his experience in Historia.

That was Debaba plan since 91' I remember someone told me that he wanted to become chef d'orchestre and Defao refused when Debaba got full leadership I felt like it pushed out Zemano Kanza and Nzaya Nzayadio.
