Title: Did somebody notice how sad Nono Diamants was in the start of Loi ?

Look how she's standing sad in corner, while the other dancers are surrounding Koffi and laughing.

It looks like they are laughing about the way the musicians of Quartier Latin were praising Koffi as a king. Look how hard Mireille (RIP) is laughing. Champion, Sam, Do Akongo, Bouro and co were really ridiculised. I wonder if they would do the same thing today, if Koffi would call them do record a new videoclip.

Look at Babia on the forefront (0:20 min), he's acting like Koffi was a god and that he's about to die if Koffi doesn't give him money. Sam Tshintu, Ridens Makosso and Suzuki waving his hands and being happy " aah mokonzi na biso" and Lebou Kabuya in the back looking furious like he wanted to say f*ck you to Koffi and beat him. (Reminds me of the moment when he disrespected Koffi & Rigo Star in Germany and Koffi in the studio when recording Droit de Veto)

Loool Lebou looked pissed  :D how did Lebou disrespect Koffi? Lebou needs to do those IG live interviews he’s been so quiet over the years.

Brigade killed me with the "j’ai un cadeau pour toi" part twice. It was already previsible that he & Cambodge would be left behind the next tour, when Kerozense ran away. Because Koffi always operates that way when he’s disappointed, but he will execute it months later when everybody already forgot the incident. He will act like you are one of his favorites and then dump you like a rotten apple. He did the same thing to CNN (months later when Ocean left), Popolipo (who he saw as one of the original brain of Academia and the way he recorded a solo album) and Mamale (who openly complained about the money of Bercy). It looks like Koffi don’t like to remember the past by having guys in his band who are close to the people who dissapointed him. That’s also that made Apocalyps ran away after the tour, because he thought that he would get the treatment that Mboshi had in 1999, after participating to Fally’s album Droit Chemin.

He was smoking cigarettes right in Koffi face in the studio and he was drinking beer, while in Quartier Latin it’s forbidden to do that when you are recording in the studio. Koffi started to yell to him, but he didn’t care.

In Germany he refused to give his guitare to Rigo Star, which forced Rigo to play rhythm on his own songs where played lead. There was another thing that happened in the same concert, but I forgot it.

but he will execute it months later.

Why would Apocalypse participate in Droit Chemin if he knew Koffi's position on solo albums? Or did he become nervous when Fally started missing concerts?

Fally never missed concerts in Quartier Latin. He only missed the goodbye concert at Elysee Montmarte.

Koffi was acting in the media that he accepted Fally’s desire to record his album. Which made Fally then inviite Titina, Binda bass, Montana, Fofo, Felly Tsyon, etc. and them participating without problem. Koffi himself had also to sing, but David Monsoh refused.

Apocalyps wanted to return to Kinshasa, but he changed his mind when those guys in Paris explained him the stories of Mboshi and other musicians.

Another thing that killed me in Brigade’s interview, was the way Koffi ordered Mboshi to put dreadlocks, to made the public think that he’s Brigade if he comes in stage. (The moment that he left Brigade behind in Kinshasa in the WMM-era).

Did Binda Bass and Felly Tyson fallout with Koffi? Or did they naturally leave on their own? Where is Passé-Kossé Nseka?

Nobody who participated on Droit Chemin fall out. Koffi even wanted to make of Binda Bass the new chef d’orchestre when Fally left, but he refused which made Titina Al Capone become it. Felly Tyson stayed in Europe on Koffi’s request like many other (Gipson, Junior and co) in order to get papers in Europe, because Koffi started to have difficulties to get visa’s. During the last tour profited to have a visa of Sweden, which gave him the possible to tour in Europe, since that Sweden is a member of the Schengen-area (so you can pass borders without checkpoints). So he decided from then that he would only bring 4/6 musicians of Kinshasa to Europe in the case that he would tour. But Felly ended up by getting deported after that the chance to participate to the Elysee Montmarte concert of 2007 and BEK. He was left behind for Zenith ‘09 and left Quartier Latin in 2010 when they started  recording Abacadabra. Binda Bass was until 2010 and participated to all tours and concerts without problem. He went to Europe, because of private problems and went briefly back to Kinshasa in 2012 to perform with Koffi.

Nseka was there until 2009 and left then he became back in 2011 and left again in 2013.

What was the issue between david monsoh and koffi ?

Koffi mentioned the name of Guillaume Soro as G.S. in the song Riziki, which was a big controverse in Ivory Coast. Because Guillaume Soro one of those leaders of the rebellion in Ivory Coast. So Koffi started to get angry calls from Ivory Coast and was even interviewed live on the radio. But he didn’t knew what he did wrong. He then said that he got a list from David Monsoh and money to mention his name, not knowing that he was making a big mistake.David Monsoh’s life and that of his family was put in danger. David Monsoh was getting death threats from Gbagbo’s regime. So he wanted to get excuses from Koffi, but Koffi refused and then sended Zoulou’s to attack David. David wanted to take revenge. So when Fally suddenly announced that he was about to record a solo album, David Monsoh contacted him. Nadim (Somina) had normally to produce that album, but he was attacked by Zoulou’s (send by Koffi). So it made David finally record the album.Koffi was only on the last minute informed that David Monsoh was the executive producer. Koffi tried to block the album’s release through his advocate, saying that Fally hadn’t the right to release his album, because he had a contract as a Quartier Latin-musician. But it didn’t work (one of the reasons why Droit Chemin’s release was one month delayed).

He used to steal money from Fally's revenues. Saying he got 5000 when in reality it was 1000 and so on. The Arafat's exposure of David Monsoh helped Fally to got away from David Monsoh. In fact I don't know why Heritier is still with him but I guess it is because Monsoh can bring Heritier places a Congolese man even though with Heritier status can only dream about. I cry when I think how many momey Monsoh must have stolen from Heritier in his Retiarda's album

Perhaps he's still contractually obligated for another album, but Heritier is popular enough to find a better producer.

Arafat’s didn’t help Fally. Because when Arafat exposed David Monsoh, Fally already left. DJ Arafat used Fally’s problem as an example. The problems of David Monsoh & Fally started in 2011, when he officaly launched his label F-Victeam with French Kiss is first single. His first experience as executive producer openend his eyes about those albums and single sales. He then discovered that David stole alot of money from him on the Jukpa-remix with J Martins which selled alot and his album Arsenal des Belles Melodies. From then David & Fally didn’t talk anymore to each other. The conflict became worser when Fally suddenly signed a three-albums contract with Universal AZ in December 2012. David Monsoh was shocked and saw it as a betrayal since that in his vision he wanted to record with Fally and fourth and fifth album (to gain more money, since he “invested” alot in him and make his dimension bigger in the showbizz world). That’s also why Power “Kosa Leka”, who was David’s last album with Fally (they had a 3-albums contract),wasn’t properly promoted like Arsenal des Belles Melodies & Droit Chemin. If you remember well Power had normally to be a double album (Aller-Retour) with Retour being the rumba-album and Aller the world-album (having already recorded tracks with 2Face, P-Square, Cecile, etc. who are never not released.

David Monsoh and Fally don’t work anymore with each other, but David still receive royalties from Fally even on his albums Control & Tokoos. Because when he signed with David during Droit Chemin, he signed that David Monsoh would get a percentage of all his albums even he isn’t signed to him anymore.

Come on now my brother (kidding). He was he original manager of NWA (Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Easy-E, etc). He was the sneakiest of managers/producers. Watch the movie Straight outta Compton; it brilliantly explains the story. I can share the movie with you on G Drive

Because when he signed with David during Droit Chemin, he signed that David Monsoh would get a percentage of all his albums even he isn’t signed to him anymore.

Fally, as big as he is, signed himself to a slave contract without knowing back when he was inexperienced. That's the one big advice all artist tell upcoming acts, because it will always weigh you down

At least David Monsoh made Fally enter and understand the showbizz-world. Letting make Fally’s dream true by meeting plenty of US-stars (2007-2011) getting invited on birthday parties and award-ceremonies as guest (it made him look as groupie, but it made him in contact with people who work there) and getting interviewed by French television-channels to promote his singles and albums. Advising Fally to make featerings with African, French and American artists to make his public broad and in order to get nominated and easily win trophees on African Awards. Droit Chemin remix made him win the Trophee Cesaire in 2007 as best Male artist and getting some public in the French West Indies. Arsenal des Belles Melodies for example for already finished in 2008, but they recorded on the last minute  Sexy Dance & Chaise Electrique (also Bicarbonate since the two other generiques weren’t strong enough).

If he was produced by General Dabira or Nadim, he would just  be a normal artist and not get all those opportunities.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=s6sueUMyu4A

The funny thing is that he acted in Kinshasa like he was nominated there lol.

David Monsoh owns Fally Ipupa's master recordings of Droit Chemin, ABM, and Power through Obouo Productions. If you look at the booklet for each album, it will show his production company owns the copyrights.

However, the royalties for Control and Tokoos seems unethical. What right does he have to those albums if he isn't involved in them at all? I'm surprised Fally hasn't brought a lawsuit against him. Any contract lawyer worth his degree could win Fally his freedom and perhaps the income given to Monsoh for those albums.

Fally could always rerecord all his albums to secure back his master recordings. Taylor Swift is doing that right now with her old albums, since her label won't sell her back her rights.

You have some complicated rules in the music industry. I remember that Eazy E received 25% of Dr Dre royalties when he made his first album The Chronic.

Btw it was Fally himself who gave David Monsoh the fully right to get royalties from album who are made outside Obouo Music after signing a slave contract. I think that Fally didn’t believe in a solo-career when recording Droit Chemin and that his main goal was to finish his album.I remember him saying in an interview he made in 2015, that he didn’t excepted to come on this level he had today.

Yes said it 2 or 3 years ago in an interview, adding that if he would die today, his kids will still get those royalties from Fally

Monsoh a part it is astonishing that the majority of artist both in Congolese and World music always say they didn't believe they could be that big in Future, even in Brigade's live he said that he was totally broke and was asking himself what he would have done in life

Why did David Monsoh and Fally fall out? I hear Monsoh is a Jerry Heller type, like he does sneaky business practices. Even DJ Arafat had awful things to say about

Who is Jerry Heller?

Come on now my brother (kidding). He was he original manager of NWA (Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Easy-E, etc). He was the sneakiest of managers/producers. Watch the movie Straight outta Compton; it brilliantly explains the story. I can share the movie with you on G Drive
That movie didn't even cover everything that he did it was even a lot worse in real life

Guys be more specific. I don't know much about Ice Cube outside of the movie, so can you be more clear? In what Dre and Ice Cube were so mean ? Anyway yes Ice Cube's son was uncalled for the guy never became a famous rapper like he wanted neither a successful actor. I think that rich people kids don't have much drive

That’s true, Dre and Ice Cube were made to look to look like they never did anything wrong. They wrote and financed the movie (I mean the guy playing Ice Cube was his son), so it’s expected. Just like the Michael Jordan 30 for 30 I’ve been watching (brilliant, but there’s many agendas)
@Wenge1995 & @Matebu this is facts that movie as a biopic was BS as a movie it was good but it was a terrible biopic. They left out one of the original members Arabian Prince, they made Dre look like a superhero and left out his violence against women, left out his and Eazy E's beef, made Eazy look softer than he actually was in real life and portrayed Eazy as broke when in reality he was the richest in hip hop when he died.

Interscope had to pay off Eazy and Jerry Heller’s Ruthless Records in order to resolve Dr. Dre’s contract disputes and release the album. So they gave Jerry Heller and Eazy E points on Dre's album as settlement for breach of contract.
Eazy E was getting 25% off everything Dr Dre put out for the next 6 years. He even got some money off Snoop Dogg's first album. Anything Dre put out for the first 6 years Eazy was getting paid off it

I mean it was understandable. Eazy-E risked his life by being a drug dealer and fund the first N.W.A. projects I don't think we would have had all the N.W.A. if it wasn't for the Eazy-E's money imaterial which lead to IceCube, Tupac, Snoop Dogg, EmInEm and Kendrick Lamar, now I remember who Jerry was I saw the movie some time ago and yes he was some sneaky ass person. The only.negative of N.W.A. is that they helped to spread the word Nigga worldwide making everybody believe it was a positive word which isnot

look at 04:14 , Nono Diamante is naturally mellow, she was my favorite dancer second only to Shegue.

On 04:14 she isn’t on the image. That’s Miètte Shegue, Nono came minutes later.

My experience as an Advocate of the Court is that the problem with Commercial Law is that Courts will look at the intention of the parties at the point of putting ink on paper and will be very reluctant to re-write the Contract by altering clauses which appear unfavorable on a party unless the aggrieved party can prove duress, coercion or undue influence.

It is therefore prudent for parties to a Contract to read the instruments and seek independent legal advice before executing them.

With dancers, Koffi saw them as his properties especially the kind like Nono Diamant in my opinion. Those dancers were lucky to survive Koffi's enormous ego. That is important to know this. If you listen to the interviews of many dancers, it was clear that Koffi never cared or respected the dancers. Funny it is these dancers that helped Koffi gain success.

That movie was trash. It was Dre and Cube, since they have money now and are still alive, whitewashing history in their favor.

That movie was close to a fantasy or propaganda than a documentary.

Prince, the american artist, was walking with slave written on his forehead because of the slave contract he had with Warner In think.  LOL.

RIP.

Koffi is definitely a weirdo, so you never know what he did to piss her off.

Lol as a kid I always found it funny how those guys were straight up praising Koffi like that, Lebou Kabuya does look pissed  :D.

Apocalyps wanted to return to Kinshasa, but he changed his mind when those guys in Paris explained him the stories of Mboshi and other musicians.
What were those stories?

Another thing that killed me in Brigade’s interview, was the way Koffi ordered Mboshi to put dreadlocks, to made the public think that he’s Brigade if he comes in stage. (The moment that he left Brigade behind in Kinshasa in the WMM-era).
Did Koffi think people were stupid or something?
