I prefer the concert of 1999, this one is a little bit boring. Maybe because they lost some energy due to touring 7 months long between Europe, America and Africa without staying like 1 or 2 months in Kinshasa.

I know this is old but the person who edited this concert did a bad job, some parts were getting so confusing for example you have them dancing to Papito Mbala and then next thing you know they're doing completely different steps and have different clothes on then it's back to them dancing to Papito.

Oh don't get me started about the editing! I was fuming! There were close-ups and there were angles taken from the distance. Come on man! Plus that Papito Mabala sebene was just far too long! However, I loved seeing Makaba on bass guitar and on solo of course! The way he manages to play the instruments and dance at the same time! Lord have mercy!

Yes, it was 7 months, which was rare at that era, because back at that time Congolese bands would spent only 3 months abroad for Europe-tours. The rare artists to have spent longer times abroad where Koffi in 1997 who spent 8 months abroad with Quartier Latin and Pepe Kalle who spent 1 year abroad going to the US and Europe. After 1998, it became normal with JB, Werra and Koffi spending 7, 8, 9 months abroad.
If I remember wel they went in December 1997 to Europe, giving somewhere in January 1998 their first concert at Bataclan. From then they started to tour in Europe. The tour had to be 3 months, but they spent 6 months, going also to Tchad, Cameroun, Canada and the US. Contracts for African countries where still coming and they had also a contract for Japan. They perfered to return to Kinshasa, before continuing with the African tour, because of spending long times abroad, returning in the last week of July. After two concerts in Kinshasa, they went to Ivory Coast.

From 45:58 min Seguin playing the famous Internet-partition. It seems that he created it and also the famous Zenith-passage of "Caludji eloko wana", but Titina took all the credits lol. You can feel that Titina really wanted to Seguin to progress as drummer by letting play him often. But Seguin was barely doing it to other drummers after Titina and Champion's departure, wanting to play everything by himself, but not even coming on the level of Titina.

I think seguin was "traumatized" lol by cambodge almost joining ever since that he first upped his game until the legendary record fikin days then went very very complacent because his position was now secured under no threat
