I don't mind an all rumba album but this is just bad.
And this is coming from the band of the so called GOAT?
This generation really came to destroy the genre. SMH.
I'll wait for the Heritier album, if he also disappoints I'll stick to old school joint and I'll wait for a new generation to save the genre.

Sebenes and generiques why are the new generation abandoning them? Is it too difficult to produce? Is Congo no longer dancing?

Naa all rhumba albums are really killing the genre, Koffi, Fally and Ferre really set a horrible example for that.
You don’t think that the new generation are even gonna be worse? Look at the type of music Robinio’s doing, I’m not saying it’s bad because what he puts out turn out to be popular but it’s far from ndombolo, and the new generation are easily influenced. Maybe someone like Prince Babia can come with the save but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

I feel like this genre is beyond saving at this point. Not enough classics, style over substance. There are few hopes we have at the moment.

The young people are not interested in generique, neither in Rhumbas to be honest, the only people making success with Rhumbas are Fally and Ferre, with Fally that cna count on a vast African fan base, but if I must be honest. I have mever heard of a recent rhumba who have been played a lot by Werra, JB or even Koffi, furthermore people are really fed up with the way Congolese musicians (in the group system) deals with people you must understNd that also a huge part of Congolese people is very religious you gt Kimbanguis (15 milion world-wide) who do not want to even listen to music ya mokili which means world music because music is a distraction and christian congolese who only accepts God's music and to some extent they are right. I mean you have all heard in the forum the countless stories of leaders scamming people, not payimg them, sleeping with other people's wife to get them pregnant and then forsake them, musiciams ready to sacrifice members of their own family and so on. So families forbid people to go to make music or even to listen to it. What leaders must understand is that bakifier (the moral superior attitude) was a thing of the '90s now a days humbleness in musiciam is widely appreciated for example Bill who has been talking shit about Innoss is starting to get less and less respect compared to Innoss who never answer back in a direct manner to Bill.
And yes also difficult to produce. I mean it is not essy to take 50 people over 30 and make them stay with 100 dollars a momth or in sometimes not even a cent in the group, ther eis no 20 year old guy willing to accept that in Congo

The only thing that can save the genre is a very new generation. We need a Zaiko or Wenge. Young people that will come with new blood, energy, and style.
The older guys don't have any form of passion, so they can't make the effort of making good music.
Where are the great guitarists, drummers, etc.
The genre is dying because of the Fally solo formula. It killed the creativity of musicians. Congolese music is played in groups. A lot of talent are being killed in these fake groups.
Instead of financing young groups full of creativity, all these donors are busy giving money to the same old solo leaders to make "sexy" songs about them. That's why musically, the genre is stagnating. We need new blood.

100% it's the best song on the EP. I've been playing it non-stop! The melody reminds me of Libérez by JB!

Na Control is a good album. To be honest Fally won't make a bad album. You might not like few songs but overall you'd like more than you dislike.
With Fally it's interesting to know how his album will be like because he brings that diverse to his music.
