recently in a video bogus bompema talked about politics being a strong defender of president felix and a guy who use to cause panic on national tv whenever he went there as a musician but still switched to talking about politics,and was sometimes cut microphone
then at some point in that video he had a rant about werra over the songs surprise kapangala,sourire des vendeurs he gave to werra plus vocals of all that album and as you can expect fans journalists have jumped on his back as you cant touch some of the big stars
to go back down in history back in the days when he left jb's private group to go to viva then left viva in 1999 2000 he was already talking about it,he even went to a show with proof of lyrics and cassette with werra's voice when he was teaching him the songs then when he wanted to rejoin bcbg he wanted to go on tv and have a strong rant and take legal action against werra,partly to act "loyal" against jb which jb strongly refused
then in 2010 before the last bcbg tour he started talking about it again saying he cant get over it because back then those songs were hope for treatment for his mother in a very bad illness situation,and him and jb had a strong argument where he openly called jb a coward in front of the musicians for doing everything to play it down to protect relationship with werra,which is why he did miss the tour
then few years ago with ado yuhe again he said it and ado kept confronting him
then now he said it again and not only he is getting insulted for it and calling werra a faux chanteur who goes out of tune for fun,but also people are insulting jb also,by the principle that they assume that jb is sending him to do it

Why Congolese people have an hard time accepting the truth? Werrason is a faux chanteur 1 he is not a guy who pays people who are not in power (like Bogus was when he have those songs) and only God knows how must have been difficult for Bogus dealing with no reward for the song despite having need of those money. Congolese people love guys like Fabregas who say false things to save relationship imstead of saying the truth, this is why Celeo is so hated. These people should do the same and do free work for Werra for the rest of their life since they love jumping on the winner's back

While I respect opinions colleagues have on this topic, my honest and humble views on this matter are as follows:
1) Bompema is just yapping, he should have taken Werrason to court a long time ago, if he cannot do this let his focus on his career. Werra does not pay? Who pays? Musicians leave those who pay lining up to join Werra, why? Ambulance a few weeks ago was knocking to get back, Olivier was knocking on the door to get back but after the reconciliation with Heritier Werra refused. How many musicians have left Ferre to join Werra who does not pay? Before we go into overdrive about this, it is important to answer these questions.
2) Faux? There is a difference between a good singer and a good musician. You can have a good voice and be a crap or average musician. What makes Werra good is his ability to produce good music and remarkably good shows despite not having the best voice around. Afande is an excellent singer but is he really in the class of Ferre and Fally as a musician? Eboa is a good singer but Fabregas is doing far better! What attracts followers to Werra is his ability to put together a good group and give fans a variety all the time.

Werra is not the greatest singer around but he's not as bad as people here try to make it sound. Adolphe, Wazekwa etc don't sing that well either but I never see people get so heated over their singing abilities. I'd rather listen to Werra all day than listen to Adolphe. That's just me & my preferences.
A lot of people think Papa Wemba was one hell of a singer. Personally, I can't stand his singing. That doesn't make him a bad singer either.

Musicians make money out of mabanga. For one to get mentions & songs in their names they should be able to pay for them. Why do you expect Werra to sing songs for Didi & others if he hasn't been paid for it?

However with age he has lost his voice. If you judge him based on the current releases. He is pretty average

For me there are 4 werra's the first who was very determined to earn a name in 4X4,the one until kibuisa who was not singing as deep as in 4 X4 but was delivering,the one after temoignage who could not care less about proving he is a good singer but was fully focused on showing he is an outstanding showman and the 4th werra who is in full chill mode
the comparison with wazekwa and tata is interesting as it seems to be the same process and by the way there is also some seen as good singers who are clearly seen as having dropped

When I was little I was watching every song of Werra I could find, I know the 2001 Kora Awards performance of Werra by memory both the video part with the choreography and the singing part with the Mandela, Kisanola, Ilo Zappata, Luketo etc. I remember Polystar's guitar without the accords and Werra and Maison Mere doing a bis of the performance after the first exhibitiom ended with Shagvy and Angelike Kidjo who described the exhibition as burning and hot that night Werra even won two prices and on the video you can see J3 and Heritier chanting and being happy. The reason I am a musician is because of Werra the reason I have an excellent musical taste is because of Werra since I have started to listen to him in my early teenage years (12 till now) and Koffi (which I have listen to since I was born) but if you here my musical style in the music despite being a European born Angolan kid you could clearly hear Werra's sound

haha JV i suggest you to listen to early wazekwa under maika munan in his natural voice before he started singing higher when he became more independent from big arrangers, which does not suit him most the time
obviously not a modogo or a serge mabiala but clearly not as bad as he appeared to be when success arrived

Mmmm interesting, basically is the same reason why Celeo career never started and Innoss is keeping his I am a good guy I love everybody persona if you think about it Celeo after the feat with Ferre and even more with his first album, he was getting recognition, one of the few atalakus if not.the only one with a chance of having a successful career but he started to attack everybody way before then Fally, starting by Werra and making people people more and more disinterested in his music but loving his rant against people and until he was attacking/reacting to peoole with not much power or that they didn't care because they saw him as too little (like Werra for example or Sankara or Brigade) it was okay, but then I don't know what clicked and Fally decided to finish him, it is a shame because Celeo is a legend but apparently he is too much oblivious of the games and codes to play in the showbiz to go on top, I am waiting for the day Innoss becomes really big and start to say directly to his haters what he really.thinks, even But Na Fillet is doing that game of saying "Ah I love everybody"
