Simply because JB loved him very much he has said several times even in concert that he loved Chai's voice and presented a singer publicly saying that he took him because he had the same voice as chai and wherever Chai asks to JB JB always gives him whatever he asks, sometimes in life you find just people who loves you and cherish you like a relative even though you just met him, I think this is the reason why Chai struggle to have a successful solo career, wherever he is in needs JB will pay

Chai got more space in TH due to them isolating Aimelia from recordings, I believe Chai did some of Aimelia’s vocals

What also explained chai's massive participation more than any of the proper bcbg big names,is that jb was looking for that traditional bandundu vibe the original werra had ,if zulema was not into his lifestyle he would have song a looot too,identite d'amour for example it was chai and zulema the day of studio zulema was high and drunk so jb did zulema's parts both in kin then in europe

I personally loved the vocal at 39:08 in Amour Sans Tache song of Sunda Bass, the attack is perfect, I think in Anti Terro he sang at his best form, in Soyons Serieux he had a great song Mbua but to be honest his voice was a little bit lost almost like shen you compare 2003

Genta to now's Genta, while we know the reasom why Genta changed his voice (due to please JB) I have never understood why Chai voice got worse in Soyons Serieux

The wird fact is that when he doesn't force it it sounds actually nice

chai's voice(and bogus aswell in that period)got worse because of lifestyle,too much drinking,smoking weed for chai,too much women for them) and one day at rehearsal he sang like that and the chiefs liked it and since he was singing more and more like it they maintaned that voice in studio instead of forcing him to come with his best natural voice,it was also worsened by the fact papa lutumba and jb meet in congo brazza at a concert and papa lutumba appreciated that voice so they went and did soyons serieux like that,leaving chai on more leads than jb himself

There was a time I saw strangely when Chay was singing to get an effect on his voice he was shaking his Adam's apple!!!!!
I have never seen any other musician do that.
