Just look at these two generations of the PPU, The team of Djo Lokiss, Yondi Okosha, Dolin Masengi, Didi Kalombo, Chikito Mutakatif mixed with the team of Abraham, Djino, Eric Menthe, Sakoko, Nono Fudji, Zulema.
Both them teams together could've crushed Maison Mere and Quartier Latin, JB would've been on top. You had Sakoko coming from Wenge Kulema, Chikito coming from QL, Zulema coming from Maison Mere and Eric Menthe coming from Academia.
It's still too bad we never got to see the Bercy PPU have a released song with Jb to their name, what a waste.
Seriously how and why would you prefer Kibens, Rio, Jdl, Chai, Bogus over all these guys?

I don't think we'll ever know what kind of nkisi or black magic the old farts used to convince JB to choose them over the PPU's young blood. Can you imagine how Anti Terro would've turned out if it was a JB+PPU album?

BCBG is one of the weirdest cases in Congolese music history, The original Anti Terro would've been miles better cause the one we ended up getting ehhh well.......... that's another story.

Ahh Les Pipiyu, they were such a joy to watch, I had the chance to see both generations Live and I'll never forget the one time the team of Abraham were performing first and when the team of Kibens came on stage, most of the public (myself included) started leaving.

I'm a big fan of QL but I will put it below TP OK jazz and even Zaiko. But QL Is the biggest band post-1990.
I don't see anyone crushing the 1st QL generation, but when it comes to the Fally generation, I think the team mix of the two PPU teams will give them a good fight.

Jb wasted these young guys careers, You had Eric Menthe who he powerful vocals when he was in Academia, Zakoko who is for me the closest voice to King Kester, my friend Chikito was one of the best dancers, Dolin amazing tenorist... seems like they all wasted their time in that group.

I am curious to see what would have happened without the ban,maybe the unpopular guys would have ran away in europe since they all have kids and a woman minimum lol there
or maybe the fans pressure would be way more intense than the one who after the ban had started

Yeah it’s a sad case that we will never know.
Does a part of you not wish to have seen both those teams in the PPU mix?

of course i do,we clearly did not get no where near what those teams could offer,while in other groups they'd squeeze all they could from them until they either have ego ready for solo or have nothing more to offer,but i guess it satisfies the theory of the old guard "nobody can say he "did" jb since they did not contribute "that much"

Yeah you're right and also what Monsieur Congo said those guys really wasted their time in BCBG, you could also say Eric Menthe would've done much better staying in Academia if those problems didn't come since he replaced Bouro and had the mic position next to Sam and also had the most vocals in Viagra out of the newly recruited musicians, Chikito would've most very likely done better if he stayed in QL. It's only to an extent that Abraham, Djino and Nono Fudji that profited even though they were also wasted.

I completely agree with you. They all wasted their time in BCBG, even Sakoko was used better in Wenge Kumbela, Jb dropped the ball.
