he is saying that he is not a big fan of awards and his fans know it, and that he does not define how succesful or how big you are  because at the end of the day its ceremonies organised by humans with their feelings and preferences
if this was in DRC where every interview of artists is scrutinized to detail to pick the odd shock sentence and associate with somebody of their choice ,he'd be getting hella criticism and analysis already

And this is a man who has won multiple awards btw, if this was a congolese artist saying it he would of been labelled jealous.

I already heard JB say something close.

Nobody in Congo cared about those awards 25 years ago. Best singer/best song/revelation of the year by the syndicate of journalists had more weight than those awards.

Blame Antoine and his son for this award obsession.
