He says he's come to realise that releasing 20+ song albums was difficult to handle because they are self funding their albums for most and one proper clip is more expensive than sometimes sessions for several songs
he's released article 23 vol 1 with 25 songs but could only do two clips outside the songs previously released and it makes promotion difficult because we are in an era were clips make promotion of artists way more than audio,so from now on he will release singles with clips already done and it will start this month with one generique ki lelo and one song miliki and then whenever himself or his musicians come with interesting songs they will go to studio and record
and he also answered people who did not believe that an artist can block his colleague from getting visas and he says people have to release that when european or american people come to africa in whatever job they have to have some african guys they build a relationship of trust with,so in their case artist who have toured several times in europe have a big advantage on those who toured less or are starting as the european guys will ask those they truth and the more influent artist can just say that you are bringing people who will just run away once in europe it will automatically make them hesitate at best or not give you visas at all unless you come with high level intervention

He should speak for himself. He should be honest and just say people are not interested in buying songs sang by me and therefore it’s hard for me to make songs for the sake of it when studio sessions is costly and then you have clips to think about lol

How about sebenes? A generique used to get us excited for what’s to come on an album. Now it’s just a tease.

So the 25 songs already released is just volume 1? Lol...No wonder the quality has progressively been going down. Even if it was a label that he was under, who would put their money on clips for 25 songs of which more than half or 2/3 is not known. Congolese musicians should rethink this quantity over quality strategy they have embarked on. Its not working at all. Offcourse the excuse of mabanga monies will be advanced but what happens after you get the mabanga monies but no one even knows your songs. How do they even hope to get contracts for concerts or even endorsement when their product (music) is not selling?

Cavalier has an excellent point. Many songs on these new albums I don’t remember. Me and my dad had this conversation. Compared to the classics we used to know many songs. Now I just barely know a generique.

African artist should've been done that type of release, two singles = two videos not release a album and record music videos to all of the song on the album. Quality over Quantity
