I just listened to the album. It's a good album, sad that you couldn't find it anywhere on that platforms. I don't know what's going on in Rigo Makengo's head. Looks like JB Mpiana & Pascal Poba got the inspiration for the song R.D.C. from Meli-Melo Folk. The difference is that in Meli-Melo Folk is a mix of only two tribues (the folklore of the Luba-tribe and that of the Kongo-tribe).

This is a rare gem I had to do backup copies Rigo Makengo removed many albums from even the ones that he did not produce I notice the difference as well Meli Melo Folk is my favourite track.

@Drumstar98

Do you also have Pere Noel Confiance ? I wanted to hear Animation Folklore, but I can't find it anymore on youtube and the digital platforms, I'am afraid that Rigo Makengo will soon also delete the songs of Delta Force on my channel.

Thanks a lot. Do you think that Bozi Boziana is underrated as solo artist ? and you rate him higher or lower than King Kester Emeneya ?

In my opinion I don't think Bozi Boziana is a underrated solo artist he released big hits during his prime but to rate him high with King Kester Emeneya that's difficult.

I started to think like that, because it looks like journalists and the press doesn't give him the respect he earn and many people starting to forget a little bit. Maybe because he doesn't talk that much and when appearing in the press, always being asked about Fally, Ferre and Heritier and never about the past or his hits. I realised that Bozi made more hit-songs than Emeneya, if you take his second time in Zaiko (1977-1981), Langa Langa Stars (1981-1983), Choc Stars where he was the main star (1983-1985) and when he was on his prime with Anti Choc (1985-1990) and the era with Betty Bis, Flo, Scola, etc. (1991-1997), while just made a few in Victoria Eleison (many songs being credited to Safro and Tofla) and starting really focusing on his solo-career from the mid 90s when Victoria started to die. Bozi made also many stars in Anti Choc and promoted many female singers, but he didn't influence youngsters the way Emeneya did with his singing-voice, la Sape, way of speaking and walking and he hasn't performed in a mythic musichall (Zenith & Olympia) nor Stade des Martyrs or Stade de 20 Mai.

I felt like Bozi did not care about Olympia and Zenith.

Since Tabu Ley performed in 1970, it became every artist dream to perform at Olympia, but it was almost impossible, because you needed to get a strong management and go through Bruno Coquatrix. Btw Bruno Coquatrix went to Kinshasa to look for Tabu Ley. Back in the 70s you hadn't alot African people in Paris and Europe. You could do 3 weeks in Paris without seeing a black male or women on the streets. If you look Abeti's Olympia's of 1973 and 1975 you will only see a white public, the same if you look to the pics made of Tabu Ley's shows. Only Sosoliso was close to perform there in 1975, but they got badluck that their band got a 6-month interdiction from Mobutu, the moment they signed the contracts. The African community started to grow from the 80s because of those dictorial political regimes and bad economic management of many Francophone countries. But most artists were then performing at bars and small halls. To perform at Olympia became easy from the mid 90s and everybody being free to perform there. Koffi's staff took advantage from it and when they performed there in 1998 it became a hype for Congolese and African artists to perform there and confirm you succes. Congolese starts could easily fill the hall, mobilizing the whole Congolese community for 3-6 months before a big show.

Back in the days that Bozi was on his prime, African artists who were on top and artists coming from West-Indies were mostly performing at Le Bataclan, Maison de la Mutualité which is now the headquarter of the Socialist Party and later on LSC. To perform at Zenith you had to have huge huge succes like Kassav or Zaiko and to fill it support from the whole black community. Zaiko Langa Langa was close to perform there in 1988, but the split messed everything up. Abeti Masikini was able to perform there in 1988, because she had already made a big name in the showbizz-world by performing at mytic halls like Apollo Theatre, Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Olympia and many festivals, having strong management through her husband Gerard Akueson. However to fill it was another story, RFI helped them with a strong promotion (show got aired live on the radio), they tried to mobilize the African community of Paris and invited Pepe Kalle, Aurlus Mabele and King Kester Emeneya to lure more public (they on that moment the big hits Nzinzi and Moyibi on the market). But the attendance was just 5000 on 6000 seats. Years later when he started to become a hype and must for artists to perform at Zenith, from the moment Koffi performed there, Bozi was already down. He made during his tour of 1999 with Theo Mbala and co and he one of 2000/01 huge mpiaka's in his concerts.

I don't know, I don't live in Saint Denis. But they made a new hall called Les Docks de Paris in Aubervilliers which is next to Saint Denis and Paris, it has three diffrent halls within it Dock Eiffel 1.500 seats, Haussman 800 seats and Dock Pullman 3.500. JB Mpiana performed there twice (2006 & 2010) and Fally Ipupa in 2006.

Before  Znith de Paris existed you had musichall called Pavillon de Paris (1975-1980) which was built because of the rock-revolution which was always bringing with it huge crowds, halls like Olympia and Palais des Sports being to small and them started to perform at stadiums. It had a capacity of 10.000 seats. But it got demolished in 1980 and replaced by Zenith de Paris in 1984.
