When Tabu Ley & Franco received the gold records from Soneca for their album Evenement.
After that no other Congolese artist couldn’t a good record because of economic crisis and less and less people being able to buy discs in Congo. Also Soneca where there problems already started since 1973 didn’t function well anymore.

If it was today with the complex people have towards what comes from abroad the artist getting it would get the same reception as those who won nduleawards and so on,like it represents absolutely nothing

This was when Franco and Tabu Ley did a big collaboration together. People were very happy to see two big stars work together at that time. This when big stars could easily work together even with high controversies at that time as well.
