Title: What was Zaiko's goal with their album Backline Lesson One ?

What was Zaiko's goal when releasing the album Backline Lesson One ? Wanted they to resurrect the dream of doing worldmusic that they missed in 1987, when most admins refused to sign with CBS Sony France ? Almost all songs they record used to be their intros and Interludes for concerts of 1993 to 1997. For example the one of Arret de Mort was their intro dor the fara-fara against Wenge Musica 4x4 at Intercontinental, Betu Bayaya was often the intro during concerts of 1995 and Choisie for big events of 1997.

All songs of the album were really short. They didn't really sing, it was just seben, apart the 2 songs being instrumentals and one that was written by Nadim. Congolese didn't receive the album well and it flopped very hard.

I really like Betu bayaya on this album but I need to listen to the whole Album to give my opinion

5/10, I like some of the sebenes of the album, but they could have made way lot better.

I really regret Zaïko's 1988 split. They could have become the best African group of all time.

I am surprised the album flopped because I think there are quite a few good tracks on it.  Who was the soloist on this album by the way? Volovolo?

i think they tried to reduce minutes and so on to adapt to radio promotion and maybe festivals and so on,international music
but it did not worked out as planned
