Oh so that's why I couldn't find this night Koffi's 40th birthday concert at Inter.
-
This is really sad. Because the channel the most archives of Congolese music VHS/DVD's on youtube even many rare videos of the 80s. I wonder why they took the channel down.

Here’s their statement

They really got him... :(

That's why I am recommending you all the time to download the stuff you like. I downloaded almost every video I liked in his channel. Those of you who downloaded from his stuff should load it back. Put it in a folder on your computer, and mess upload. If removed, reupload.

Why did they close down his channel?

Why did they close down his channel?
Probably copyright stride if you are a label or a singer and some other channel is Plotino your music without cinsent the singer/musician or labe can ask YouTube to take it doen the reason why many Papa Wemba videos for example who were from other channel got closed when he died because Mere Amazon wanted full control on every Pala wemba material. Unfortunately for guys like INA and to some extent Ndombolhino their style of working got almost totally shutdown due to the Copyright Law USA passed. Since YouTube is an American platform all the videos there can't break the Copyright act, otherwise they will get suspended. Now it is uomo the artist if he want the channel with his material to be closed or left alive. But I willsay this being a Congolese music fan is really hard to find archivi material unless you have Cassettes, VHS, takes, DVD especially those concert ones, INA was trying g to contrasto that and they obstacled him, this makes my blood boil so much

Copyright is not a big issue on Youtube. Especially when Congolese music is concerned. There are only a bunch of artist or representative who take it so seriously that the case ends in a removal of either the video or the account. The problem is, if the removal requests go over a treshold, the account will be closed. This was the problem that INA Congo did not do wisely. It is a better startegy to create multiple channels on the account (because it is actually the channel that is closed in case of a complaint, not the base Google account). And you only load a maximum of 10-20 videos per channel. If the complaint treshold is reached in one channel and it is closed, there will be the other ones still standing and you can requpload the deleted 10-20 videos fast to a new channel. If you keep all the videos on one channel, it is enough that only 1 artist complains from the hundereds you are sharing, and the channel is gone, even if it is just one person during many years.
So if you want your videos to stay long on Youtube, upload just a bunch of videos per channel, and if you notice an artist tends to submit complaints often, keep his videos on a separate channel, don't mix his videos with others, so you don't risk the other videos with a closure.

INA Congo already opened a second channel a few months ago, under the name INA Congo II and started uploading videos who were removed from the first channel. I just saw that he changed the name of the channel into INA Congo Archives and he's slowly re-uploading some videos.

Ahh, he should be more careful. The problem now is that he did not do the new channel is disguise. I guess he is infamous now in the circles running for their money, so this way they will spot the new channel easily. He should open it in a different name and maybe many small channels not 1 big. He could advertise his project in a separate website online, where he could welcome the videos sent in. But doing anything in the future under the name INA is a risk by now. INA could be the name of the information website, that is fine. Reuploading 1 bigh channel all the time is really a massive project.

if the copyright holders are this fuckin petty that they shut down every clip that get uploaded the people who upload congolese music content should just name there channel something that not so obvious and have the title be in english or something but this whole thing of content getting taking off youtube is really corny unless the person is making money out of videos he dont own than that would be another thing
