FINALLY!! A project without Cindy all over it… even if it’s Vol 1 it doesn’t have Cindy. Only one song where she’s in the chorus and it’s only one song. The rest there’s no presence, Thank God. Looks like he learned from his mistakes from Abracadabra and 13eme apôtre.

Mbempe is a decent Generique, he should’ve let his atalaku continue doing the animations that 1 min space he gave the atalaku made a huge difference. As for the rest of the album it’s actually not bad for me I like most of the songs, Mbembe, Pont Rouge, Femme, Andress, King Muteba, Olala, Eto’o, Julie Casse, Tshiboless. That’s more than half the album. I wasn’t feeling the auto tune though
Symplicity I think you’ll probably like this album.
For the guys looking for Sebene don’t waste your time.

This ratio of generique to rumba hurts my heart , where are the songs of old that had good vocals and sebene endings smh. Good quality album though

What i don't understand about these guys is that they always consider albums like Effrakata to be classics and they always perform those songs at concerts and reminiscing. But when it comes to the new albums they never want to make anything close to how those albums used to be. Its always "the good ol days". Well you can still create good days RIGHT NOW. It doesn't make any sense. Werra, JB, etc they all do the same thing. I guess its easier to make albums that only have rhumba in it.

Mbempe is a decent Generique, he should’ve let his atalaku continue doing the animations that 1 min space he gave the atalaku made a huge difference. No Cindy!!! :D ;D On a serious note I was actually surprised by how decent the album is, I haven’t listened to a new Koffi project in full since BEK in 2008, but seeing this was 14 mins I thought why not.

Koffi was one of those that publicly supported Ferre during his arrest drama whilst Werra was silent, it goes both ways so don’t blame everything on Ferre.

I made a mistake in Ferre I will admit it, but no I don't hate Koffi, I actually used to listen to him a lot when I was little way more then Werra, what I don't like about Koffi is his behaviour but musically probably top 10 African artists of all time.

I think if he took out Biberon and BMC and replaced them with Generiques or Sebene or at least more hard hitting Sebene it would've definitely been better. The Zaiko style is mehhh even though I like Mbembe. Still a good album though I have most songs on repeat.

What I wish a Koffi did in the song Tshiboless (which I love) and Femme I wish when the singers were singing their vocals Koffi said the singers name when they were each singing cause I still have no idea on majority of the musicians names in the group loool. But I think those two songs showed that they’re ready for a QL album now.

We were meant to get one years ago when Koffi also invited ex members to put songs on their. But looking back he made the right call to cancel it because Quartier Latin of then we’re ready, lol their performance of Bilan and Detresse at fikin loool my word.
