3 Generique Zebuka, Jump, Bcbg En Avant
2 Seben Ainsi, Yebela
As I have said most leaders put one generique and just rhumbas st least JB tried to do something different, and as he said there is also the second volume by the way I skipped the rhumbas I never listened to them no matter the artist

Welcome back Papa Cheri, what a great Christmas present
-
Can’t wait till it comes on my end
-
Wow and we are back,, finally, still waiting for it on Apple music, not going to bed before listening to it >:( >:( >:( :(
-
The generiques Zebuka and Bcbg en Avant are fire.
-
Am listening here in Nairobi Kenya.... Certified!!!!????
-
It’s on YouTube too zebuka is FIREEE
-
On bcbg en avant I noticed that’s the first time since Makaba left that distortion was used in a sebene. Also Fusee did really well on Ainsi dit l’éternel, i forgot how good he was. I was also happy that they kept the “tcheck” crie.
-
Zebuka is ok.......Wapi shamala?
-
I still can’t believe the album’s out LOL
-
I will say so far listening. I’ll be honest ……. THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!! I got like 5 tracks that are my favorite so far on vol 1. That jump track is pretty fun.
-
Just appeared on Apple Music,,,,,wow good beats
-
Zoulou Mbonda!!!!!
-
Man the song Tonga is soooo good. Vol 1 is truly a masterpiece.
-
This is such a proper Congolese album! Loved every bit of it. Fally, Ferre and Koffi need to take serious notes here. JB knows the formula. Can’t wait to Vol 2.
-
Get ready for the Zebuka music video!! Dropping today at 11am
-
Omly thing I would have liked was for the Crie Simberi to be longeeeer and to see Ben Laden on the project plus I don't think putting Ze Ze-Ze Ze Abed Achour Ze Ze-Ze Ze so much was a good idea but I understand that donors are the one deciding so JB was kinda forced
-
Overall how would you rate the album out of 10? For me a straight 10 out f 10!!! A masterpiece
-
Ehhh this is the album that took 9 years to come out?? The sebene may hit in concert but I wasn’t feeling any of it on besides Yebela. With all due respect agents needs to just go in and do something besides music because his voice is gone. And is this a JB album or a JB and Wenge BCBG album? Cause no mention of BCBG is on the album cover and no BCBG singer has vocals on JB songs.
Nice of them to keep Quado on the song Quado. Josky and Atshouda are my two fsbitoainfers kn BCBG. I never got the Zulema hype. Rio messed up the Yo na yo chorus.
-
Overall how would you rate the album out of 10? For me a straight 10 out f 10!!! A masterpiece
For the generique 10/10 I don't know there is something about the drums who have a more like street sounds which makes the songs in generique go crazy on BCBG EN AVANT man whoever had that idea is a genius
-

Which one? Cause Zebuka is exactly what they did on concerts? Whats the title of the other generiques?? I do not like Zebuka I don’t.
-
BCBG En Avant and Jump
-
One thing i respect with bcbg as a chorus lover is that regardless of the chorus combination(which is about 7 different) they produce good chorus most of the time
haha the distorsion caught me off guard, except the second soyons serieux generique, there has barely been any effect allowed since makaba
tolbert played so well on that generique like he had a point to prove
-
BCBG En Avant and Jump
No only BCBG EN Avant Jump has a good drumming but it is not street it is just the drummer speeding up the tempo to make generique sound like a traditional BaKongo song the drumming is very similar almost identical to the one of Kibuisa Mpimpa but harsher and Faster because Kakol giving how the tempo of the song was slow couldn't Speed up the pace too much
https://youtu.be/wdgWb9iNp-g

Jump is a great generique but I would have loved it if they kept it with the same street drums of BCBG En Avant it would have been like being in a BaKongo village with tradti9nal music playing with guitar in fact I don't think BCBG En Avant.is worse nor better then Jump but.the drumming of BCBG En Avant makes me want to hear BCBG En Avant more imagine this street effect on the Simberi the thing would have been massive

Why not? Zebuka is great even tho, yes we already heard it many many times, anyway I was talking about BCBG En Avant the it has a nice effect that makes the drum sounds like they are not from the studio play, with a more polis sound but more street for example it is the same.thung Werra did with the previene of Proteger Base, there was a "street" element in those drums https://youtu.be/-mZB8yoIPeE the same for Jamaique singing the overmixing in studio (well in my opinion for some people given how poor Maison Mere sound has been compared To BCBG Quartier Latin etc thus.might sounds proper) kinda ruined that street effect that the drums has compare the two versions and tell me

The other generique are these
3 Generique Zebuka, Jump, Bcbg En Avant
2 Seben Ainsi Dit L'Eternel, Yebela
-
By the way what was the concert where JB and Fusee presented the crie Tsimberi? I remember he presented DVDV and a bunch of other Atalakus saying: "Genta had a lot of kids eh? There is DVD
-
that "mayi ehh mayi ohhh" part in the zulema song at the end reminded me of late pecho zidane
now their workshop of mombele( zulema chai ngenge chella mputu zidane and their little brother lola muana) has completed getting a song on a album
-
i think many will be surprised that zebuka is played by blaise esabe and bcbg en avant by seguin, most would believe the other way round
-
i think many will be surprised that zebuka is played by blaise esabe and bcbg en avant by seguin, most would believe the other way round
No waaaaaay I'm shocked
-
you can even hear genta at some point shout "seguin mignon maniata secoueerrrrr "
bcbg performed zebuka in concert already yesterday and it was esabe playing while seguin was behind the podium
-
Guys please balance me maybe I don’t understand this Volumes and Albums thing, so Volume 2 will be having different generiques etc? Cause Fuse has 3 cris that he didn’t do here and that shout BCBG machine ya music , then Charisma dance cri…………….I am super super depressed, this has spoiled my mood I don’t want to lie………….the nicer parts they did in concerts are not there, all of them.
-
The whole Zebuka is made out of cris they sang when they wanted dancers to cool down from serious dancing. Fuse! Fuse! Fuse!……………..The way I waited for this I am very disappointed, might leave this genre for good, I am failing to understand such stupidity.
-
yep they did 6 generiques in total, fusee and pajo will most likely have one each that they will lead the vol 1 was mainly genta's animations which had success in concerts
-
Maybe the fact that JB Mpiana did not release an album in such a long time has left some of us too hungry we will take anything he spews out as excellent. I have taken my time to listen to this album with such an open mind and so much hope but found nothing to praise in this album. The singing including JB himself who used to be such a beautiful singer is an insult to my ears. The sebenes and generiques are so lifeless with shouting rather than animation. Even Fusee who gets so much praise here got me pissed with the eeeh eeeeh eeeeh kinda screaming. The chorus is bearable but I think if I need good recent chorus, nothing beats the 'original' tchatcho chorus Koffi gave us recently in Legende. This is a personal opinion and to each his own. Those who find this album interesting must be such a lucky bunch with something to enjoy over Xmas.
-
We need more of Pajo and Fusee in volume 2. Hopefully that album blue print crie wont be in the next volume. We've had too much of it in concerts.
Those new animations by Pajo and Fusee will do justice to the whole album.
All in all it is fair album.
Atshouda is a class above the rest!!!!
=====================
Wmmm Till the End of Time

Bro what happened? Lol I can't say anything about the Rhumbas but the Generique were on point especially Jump and BCBG En Avant and also the seben of Ainsi Dit L'Eternel by Fuse was a masterpiece
-
Its all just boring, the generiques are too calm not danceable at all and I can hear the screaming @Simplicity is talking about, its so annoying…….they should have let JB sing his part in generiques……..as for Jump I personally don’t understand the concept it might be fun to those with language advantage.

Bro, maybe the problem is me????????????????I was so looking forward and expected something along the lines of Jeannette or grace toi a germain for the rhumbas or some fire sebene a la' excess d'amour or Tshico Londonien or Love Airline but what I got was so underwhelming. I guess my taste has become too choosy and I need to reconsider and lower down my expectations. I suspect I may be the problem because almost everyone else says it's super......

This is facts! I feel the same way you do. It is not just you. We just need to except that this is just the way things are now.

The ones you mentioned are classics. But besides Bailo Canto and Dynastie ( I appreciate urban music) I thought Balle de match was the best. Legende had some songs but wasn’t too thrilled with it. Fally disappointed me as well as Bill. Music has changed and not saying it’s gotten better but it’s music.
-
i think many will be surprised that zebuka is played by blaise esabe and bcbg en avant by seguin, most would believe the other way round
I just noticed Didi Kolombo in the video for Zebuka, I had no idea he was in BCBG. Since when?
-
He returned 10 Years ago
-
Why is JB shouting out arc en ceil name in Zebuka?!
-

What do you mean with calm generique, like can you link an example of a not "calm" grnerique? Tbh Jump to me is a great song and the concept is simple basically taking the traditional BaKongo song structure which is called Kintueni and put it with a Ndombolo flave
-
according to my brother there is volume 2 coming around valentines, then one or two more volumes, there is 65 or something ready songs,jb put balle de match and chemin de fer together, just without continuing to use the name of chemin de fer,so they might be releasing until the end of next year

Jump is totally off for me kkkkk honestly………I meant Genta’s cris on Zebuka are calm, my recent example can be Koffi’s Mbembe or even Fuse’s part on Zebuka’s last minutes……….this side of Africa we love those songs for dancing cause we do not hear a word.
-
These generiques are really good, but its just that we know what they were preparing and not finding the most interesting parts on the actual songs is a turn off.Let me drop the concert links of missing cris you will understand my pain???????????????????? good thing 14 Feb is not that far.

And lastly BCBG machine yamusic crie!

a message of appreciation for kalo bass who had big big big shoes to fill as the heir from sunda bass, and the use of the whistle from zoulou mbonda, thats one of the most whistle involved i have heard for a while on generique
i am a big fan of whistle on generiques since the legendary whistle from madova sebene
-
Hey Ya Archossss, thanks for the reminder, wow no one does it better than Defao whistle and Mbonda, but in this album it’s just amazing ????
Jeffrey can you just accept that it’s a good album, let’s stop being too judgemental. Let’s judge volume 2 or 3. Can’t we just enjoy volume 1 for now????????????

I have to be honest, just missing those cris but I am used to it now, plus 14 Feb isn’t that far lol.

I like the chorus on this album.
I'm a bit disappointed that Metro and Sakoko are missing? any ideas?
Again, JB is the only artist without an official youtube page.
-
I'm a bit disappointed that Metro and Sakoko are missing? any ideas?
Sakoko and Metro brief departures benefited Didi Kalombo and Josky. However if rehabilitation was complete Sakoko song on BDM is a banger. (He sings in praise of JB kids).
I also want to know what will happen to NF and Patou Solo songs. They were quite catchy.

Noooo, why did Metrau left again? And also Zakoko? Anyway Metrau should have never went back in the beginning how are you gonna go back to a place where they wanted to blind you

And lastly BCBG machine yamusic crie!
I don't like the crie of the second video, the first video man that Bebe Crie was so fire
And for the third video I can say this Ya Pajoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Mateloooooooo that harmonizing from 28:47 I guess is so beautiful with some work on the intonation it could be great really great about fire bro to me the sebene of Ainsi Dit L'Eternel it is, listen from 5:58
https://youtu.be/O9sW1M4uDsY
-
metro and zakoko are not involved simply because that lot of songs was chosen before their return, they will appear in vol 2 3 taking some of the space of the erased fudji work, for example
-
The Generiques are really good
-
Metreau and Msr Le Quado lead parts were replaced by Didi Kalombo and Modashow in this song.

Do you know if video clips for Balle de Match are ready?

In which songs does Zulu Mbonda uses the whistle?
-
on the generiques if you pay attention well, especially bcbg en avant
did somebody else also notice that seguin did some chorus on a couple of songs?
-
Zulema sounds a lot like Waney Pecho (RIP) though his voice is more rough and deep mais Grand chanteur!
Iyo lela, 50 ans, Ainsi dit l'eternel, Yo na Yo and Choissy matata great songs on repeat.
Raisonner and Ocean de miel should not have made the album. They sound like fillers with not much effort. JB was struggling to make those Malawian names sound nice as mabanga in the song Raissoner. :D :D
Cant wait for Volume 2 to hear more of the other group singers and my favourite Gesan Sakoko and Emo's favourite Kibenga. ;D
-
yeah surely the fact that they grew up together they tend to have similarities, like fudji and eboa, like chella and lacoste
talking about zulema,i saw abraham saying that the zulema song is having success because his voice is still there in the chorus
and mosaka used rethoric to reply to him(for those who dont understand french coeur which is heart and choeur which is chorus or choir is pronounced the same way) asking him okay if his "chorus"as to refer to heart souding the same made the song succesful, where is then any liver lungs or whatever he has ever done to make his solo careers relevant since its him who gives success
-
JB has also said that Balle de Match Vol 3 will come out in April
-
Upcoming "street" groups already doing the cover of 50 ans
