from 1:19 Sankara saying that JB Mpiana isn't playing rhythm of Wenge anymore but that of Zaiko and that he must pay Nyoka Longo because of plagiarism. Thinking about it he was right about the line they were using towards the end of Kipala Nzonzaku, I think "aza muana Congo" which they modified. Because Zaiko used to animate it on a different way back in 1997. However the rhythm was still Wenge in Kipala Nzonzaku was still that of Clan Wenge.

But about the last 8 years Sankara is right, because sebene Wenge BCBG is playing now is pure Zaiko of post 2009-10. Even Nyoka Longo complained about it in one of his interviews last year, saying that he wanted to visit a band to hear something else but discovering that the band in question was playing exactly same rhythm like them which left him being dissapointed.

its due to who genta works with,fiston yulu,levieux mavuzi and his older brother mosaka,ya sinya,guylain mozindo who are all zaiko fans plus himself genta being muana odeon,after quel est ton probleme generique with more agressive sebene not meeting expected success jb decided to go back to a sebene of a lesser tempo,it coincided with the era of malewa and co having incorporation of more "village" sebene with keyboard plus chorus animation so they went it and as it worked they kept the formula
that being said nobody is playing real wenge rhythm except blaise who associates makaba often to his projects or gets toussaint to play like makaba,all the active wenge offshots are wenge plus a couple of influences,maison mere is wenge plus station japan plus folk,tonya tonya is wenge plus empire with the influence of kalo bass and papillon plus maniema's folk aswell at times,bcbg is wenge plus zaiko plus bas congo folk(coincidentally like i said the main providers of animation of bcbg are for most mukongo)

You right. Blaise Bula come the most closest with his band about doing the original Wenge 4x4. The discussion that went years long between JB Mpiana and Werrason about who being the original Wenge was stupid, because nobody of the two conserved the original rhythm of Wenge 4x4. When looking the 6 leaders of Wenge, I think that Didier Massela won because his album Zabala Bakulu was 100% pure Wenge but sadly nobody noticed it, everybody was focused on JB vs Werra and even Manda Chante and Marie Paul had more light than Massela "General Kweck".
