Even in our beloved genre it happens a lot. Sometimes it's deliberate sampling of songs but without acknowledging the original owners. Then other times the guitarists/singers would create some patition or melody without knowing that they just playing what they have heard from somewhere. I remember watching an interview of Do Akongo were he said strictly speaking there is no completely new guitar partitions most of it is just a variation of what's been played before, it's just that some are obvious copies while others are not so obvious.

Sampling isn’t fraud, it’s more of paying homage to the previous artist. A lot of American Artist sample music from other generations. Also the Artist sampling has to get permission from the originator of the song, both sides benefit, but the originator gets more of the benefit, such as possibility having 50% ownership of the the person sampling their song or more.

It is sampling. RAP was born by sampling. Without Sample there wouldn't be Rap, Hip Hop, Jersey Club Music
