i think they have a long going beef like the one wazekwa had with reddy,i remember they almost fought at a reunion with minister of culture having chaka kongo to hold wazekwa after de paul spat towards him
maybe he still has grudge because at that time which is like 18 years ago or something wazekwa who is close to werra said something about him
in the years after he was also feeling targeted by de paul who said in an interview that some people would be selling donuts in the streets if the og journalists,were still around,all they know is making karate moves and things like that

Wait so Wazekwa was in the complot they made with Werrason, Tshala Muana, Manda Chante, André Kimbuta, Zulu 21, Francis Kalombo and co who were pro-Kabila ? To punish Marie Paul for singing Etienne Tshisekedi in 2011 which led to various arrestations by ANR and also a ban for giving concerts in Kinshasa.
It must be Papa Wemba who informed Marie Paul about everything. Because when getting in Europe and and the interviews he made just before leaving Kinshasa, he was often mentioning Papa Wemba's name.

no it was way before that in the period where depaul came in mid 2000's and was invited at jb's antiterro presentation
wazekwa actually defended him to boshab and co when his trouble started to happen but he was not powerful enough to change anything and was warned to not get involved too much because it could lead to him being in trouble aswell(notice that none of the big artists openly supported de paul)
i think there original argument came from an interview where wazekwa was talking about his friends of wenge and he did not mention marie paul,and he said oh yeah sorry and that he had not heard about him for a while in terms of album,people reported to de paul that he said did not know that marie paul was still active because he had gone silent a bit(that period between eboulement and maisha)
then at some point they were cool again in the days of maisha and co i dont know what could have happened again to restart a beef

Lol. I understand now. Marie Paul really doesn't feel good not being mentioned as a Wenge man. Am sure he was grand pissed for being ommited for the Wenge reunion concert.
