Congratulations to Koffi for an amazing 45 year career. That’s huge! Regardless of his questionable antics we need to give our legends their flowers whilst they’re still here. PS he still hasn’t taken that ridiculous thing of his head lol

LOOOL somebody almost got me in trouble at work today he did a photoshop which included koffi werra and fally hugging each other and said in the caption the "the wig gang haha that was a much needed laugh after the bs arsenal has put us through in recent days smh

Koffi has 45 years of history. The good, the bad and the ugly. I just want Koffi to bring back Tcha Tcho fully. He needs to do another dance that overrule Papa Mobimba. We need a new dance that can move the whole Africa like Papa Mobimba did.

Koffi said that through his first concert there in 1988 when he got invited by Yves Zogbo Junior, it made him known around Francophone West Africa and get contracts for the countries around it. I feel like concerts in Abidjan dont have the same impact anymore these last 15 years. Back in the days performing in Abidjan would made you automatically get contracts for Guinee, Mali, Burkina Faso, Benin & Togo. Today performing in Ivory Coast is like performing in Gabon or Centrafrique
I remember Koffi mentioning twice in interviews about getting some millions of fcfa from late president Felix Houphouet Boigny through his wife and a written letter during the AfriCar Awards of 1992. He even used the picture of that day as album-cover for Pas-de-Faux Pas. But I dont believe that the day marked his career the most. I think that he just said it to make Ivorians proud.

What happened to Tolin? He was such a great dancer

I dont know after Quartier Latin he dissapeared for a long time. In the period of 2009 to 2012 he re-became close to Koffi again by appearing in dvds of concerts, making-offs, etc. and the opening of Villa Del Pirlo.
The last time I heard from Tolin was 8 years ago. When he started to doing interviews with Vicent Tshiluizi talking about Koffi's past and private life from 1982 when Koffi become broke and his ex'wife Marianne leaving him at some point, Tolin then starting to cook for Koffi, the way Koffi managed to get back to Europe, the progress Koffi started to make in life (getting a new house, etc.), how quartier latin started, how they recruited dancers like Rosette and also how Tolin himself became a dancer. You can compare him to Sankara de Nkuta. But Koffi was apparently not happy with those videos and even called Vicent to stop. Tolin said at some point that after Quartier Latin he moved to South Africa where he worked as security guard and also teamed up with Wenge El Paris for some moment.

The last interview he made was with Mathy Kasongo. Him regretting of not being close to Koffi anymore and saying that will remain his "petit".
