That's really tribalistic. Zaiko is not a bakongo band. Its a band of whole DR Congo. Legends like Bimi Ombale (biggest songwriter), Gina Efonge (kolo ideology) Evoloko Lay (idol of all youngsters in the 1970s) , Nono Monzuluku, Doudou Adoula, Boziana Boziana, Papa Wemba, Meridjo Belobi are not Bakongo and they had an important contribution to the band. When coming to rhythms they had incorporated more Mongo rhythms that Bakongo one. When coming to Kikongo songs no band will close to TP OK Jazz with the amount of Kikongo songs/hits. Zaiko never released a song where they sung Kikongo from begin to end. Many people coming from Kongo Central were mad when Nyoka Longo received a trophee by late governer Jacques Mbadu.
