There is no denying that what Congolese artists today call Rumba is simply the Tcha-Tcho Koffi Olomide. Apart from maybe Karmapa, all the artists have adopted that style. Prior to Koffi to the scene and in most of his early career, Odemba and Fiesta seemed to dominate. Koffi being the great guitarist that he is and working with other great guitarists like Popolipo and Rigo Star gradually imposed the Tcha-Tcho sound. Prior to these three guitarists, we never really heard that. This is what I believe, what do you guys think?

Rhythm Guitarist Syriana of Viva La Musica, Rigo Star et Koffi himself are the pillars of Tcha Tcho rhythm
Rigo Star is instrumental in Koffi's early success.

Tcha-Tcho has become such a dominant rhythm in Congolese music that the Fiesta and Odemba seem too different today if someone tries it.
