Yes, they exist, but they are rare. That's the disavantage of working with a small record label on a label. I think that Manda Chante was the biggest artist for the label that produced his second album.

When Marie Paul was supporting Werrason, was the strategy was to weaken Wenge BCBG by injecting more competition? What was Marie Paul's motive? At the time, Marie had the more popular group, doesn't promoting another Wenge offshoot dilute his power?
How come Adolphe had a more successful start with Wenge Tonya Tonya than Werra with Masion Mere? They were both abandoned by JB, similar to how Werrason abandoned Adolphe which got the sympathy of the public and helped popularize Tonya Tonya. But based on a lot of interviews, it seemed like Masion Mere struggled a little bit in the beginning. I figured they would have had considerable support at the start since two popular members were leading the group; Werra and Tata

Marie Paul support was first due to tribalism, because Werra’s oncle late Nico Bwakongo kept insisting that he had to help his brother. But it was just for their first concert at Vis-a-Vis. Then later on he did that, to indeed weaken Wenge BCBG, not knowing that he was weakening himself and at some point starting to share the same fans with Werrason. Most fans then staying with Maison Mere. But he had still a huge fanbase when the war started with Werrason. I remember that there was incident when Desi Mbwese wanting to take Bibi Play as headquarter of his new band, when he came during summer 2001, in the absence of El Paris which was in Europe. the remaining part of El Paris was still rehearsing there (Doukoure, Babel Bingema, Alain Mwepu, Liverpool, etc.) and they were risiking to not have a place anymore to rehearse. So a huge amount of fans decided to create a mess, which made Desi change the place. Another example is the moment when they finally received visa’s for Europe and a huge amount of fans following Marie Paul to the embassy to get the visa’s. Also the confrontation against Werrason, when he tried humiliate Marie Paul, by wanting to to lure people at Stade des Martyrs and El Paris fans throwing stones at him and Adolphe, Werrason falling down with his motorcycle. Bodyguards tried to protect him and escorted him towards Stade des Martyrs. Thinking back about the incident, Marie Paul could have easily performed at Stade Tata Raphael at they day instead of YMCA, with the amount of fans that were on the streets, because of no place being left anymore. The Bandimi were really radical. It’s the Europe-tour of 2000-01 that killed everything, Marie Paul deciding to stay in Europe and the conflict with Zacharie Bababswe. Many fans turned their back after all those incidents and concluded that he was finished.
1997 was not 2000. In when Wenge 4x4 disbanded it was that JB Mpiana was being number one with his solo album Feux de l’Amour and almost the whole band following him when the split occured. It was not like the years 1990-1996. Nobody believed that Werrason, Adolphe and Masela get succes, the way the were left on their own. Because in people eyes JB set the bar to high with the thematic of the songs he had on his solo album and the crazy succes he had with that album. Also there were in the beginning no donors that wanted to help them out. Werrason was often frustrated to see donors rejecting him. Only Claude Maluma helped out in the beginning, being later joined by Blaise Manzambi who came from Italy and who helped out with fancy clothes. People had respect for musicians like Ferre, Mabiala, Kakol, Bill and Flamme, but they didn’t believe that they would make it. It was also rare to see such young musicians in bands of artists being 30+. Just look how Flamme, Bill and Celeo were looking in the first concerts. You would say that they were minors. People didn’t believe they could confront Titina, Makaba, Kusangila, Mpela, Kaludji and Aimelia. Because of the cassettes that arrived in Europe of Maison Mere and the way people supported BCBG to much, women like Loris la Congolaise (RIP), Jose Kongolo FBI (kolo mibeko) and Tabou Fatou went during the summer to Kinshasa to support Maison Mere, but it was not they were believing that they would suceed, it was more out of pity. Werrason really teached everybody a lesson when releasing Force d’Intervention Rapide, that you don’t must underestimate people.
2000 was different Wenge Maison Mère was number one, Adolphe himself having succes with his songs Papson and Heritier and having alot of popularity. In period of his departure, Voyage Remix came out. The way they did Adolphe dirty made people having pity for him. Adolphe himself also going to restaurants and bars of Paris and Brussels, saying that Werrason didn’t like him and how Ferre, Bill and co would openly disrespect him and doing him dirty, made people sad. Another thing was that in Europe many people witnessed in concerts how they would him do dirty. So when Adolphe got immediately succes and also a huge part of the press supporting him. Wenge Maison Mere started to get problems in concerts, getting booded, some concerts being empty. At some point they didn’t knew what to do. So they made a cassette with Zacharie Bababaswe to react against Adolphe Dominguez and claiming that he tried to made Maison Mere split, etc. and that Werrason was innocent. But most people still didn’t believe it. Werrason was lucky that he had loyal fans in Kinshasa and the JB-Werra war still being there otherwise it would have been complicated. Werrason slowly started to get control back, when he offered 3 busses to the soccerclubs As-Vita, CS Imana and Dragons, when performing at Stade des Martyrs. That move made Werrason earn respect. The release of Kibuisa Mpimpa also was a huge succes and when preparing Double Zenith, those that followed Adolphe (press, bodyguards, fans, donors, etc.) slowly came back, when realizing that Tonya Tonya started to become a mess (it already started from Werra’s return to Kinshasa) and Maison Mere keeping going strong with tours abroad (Zimbabwe, Zambia, Kenya, etc.), the two Kora’s, getting received by Joseph Kabila, double Cinemax, the succes of Koyimbi-Ko, etc.
