Today Kinshasa is overpopulated and almost every artist being able to receive triumphal returns when coming back from Europe. But back in the days its was special and not easy for bandleaders to create that. For artists like JB Mpiana and Werrason it was easy to receive triumphal return, because they were the idols for the young generation. Everytime when Werrason would return from a Europe-tour he would receive a big triumphal return (1999, 2001, 2002, 2005 & 2007). Even for the small tours he had in UK (2003 & 2004) and the double event of LSC (2004).

But when he came back in 2009 from Zenith, the small Europe-tour of 2010, the one that went wrong because of combattants 2011 and Stade de France 2011, he didn’t receive one. Which is strange, because Werrason was at that time still be artist with the most fans till 2015. Digitalcongo who had many pro-werra journalists, wrote an article with as title “Le retour de Werrason sans tambour ni trompette” about his return to Kinshasa after Zenith 2008 and a very short Europe tour, without having a triumphal return. Why was that ? Did the team of Maison Mere receive an order from governor Andre Kimbuta to not mobilize fans to avoid creating a big crowds, being that it might create an uprising ? Or was it just a new strategy ? It’s a shame because for 2011 & 2008, it would have boosted Werra’s moral, for the Zenith that went wrong in 2008 and the tour that got sabotated by combattants in 2011, knowing that the fans still love him. However, at that time the streets would still be full of people when Werrason would appear.
