After seeing on social media different videos of this European Gospel band selling Zenith de Paris out, I came to the conclusion that performing at Zénith de Paris, should normally not be a challenge anymore for Kinshasa-based artists. I have never heard any song of this band, but what they did is crazy. Performing in Paris is now just like performing in Kinshasa. We are with many now in Europe. The crowd during the concert was just with children that are born and/or grew up here. Imagine if their was also liked by first generation migrants, than they had to double or triple the event at Zénith.. I just saw that they will perform at Bercy in June 2025.
It made me wonder how gospel artist Deborah Lukau and Mike Kalambayi just performed in a smaller configurations but still failed

It isn't, there aren't a lot of gospel groups who could sell from Congo let alone have a crowd go to the Zenith, selling in France as a Congolese artist (Not Comgolese European as NK Divine are) will always be a challenge, most groups you see selling out Zenith are those gospel bands young people listen to cause they are too far removed to listen to the L'Or Mbongo and other groups from that Age group
Guys who could sell out Zenith from Congo are Fally, Ferre, Werra, Koffi, and we have to see if Heritier could do it, Deplick, Wazekwa, Fabregas Robinio I doubt they could di it

I don’t really know about gospel not having a public. But what I know is that in the past, during the 2000s, they used to organize festivals that were reuniting gospel artists at Zenith de Paris, but apartthe Mbuta Kamoka vs Rene Lokua-event, the remaining Zenith’s were all mpiaka. It’s only now that gospel artists are performing at their own, but the promotion isn’t the same like normal artists. Them performing on their own means that something probably in terms of public.
About youngsters listening to gospel, I know some that listen to Moise Mbiye, Mike Kalambay and Michel Bakenda. l’Or Mbongo is a legend, but she isn’t relevant anymore for years.
I’m still convinced that Zenith de Paris should be filled with proper promotion of 1 year with the amount that the Congolese community in France itself has today. Because Zenith de Paris is just 6848 places. The same for regular Congolese artists that are relevant. The public of Congolese concerts in Paris had since the mid-2000s always had been those from Congo + those who grew up here + a part of people coming from other African French-speaking countries.
About NK Divine, I see on facebook many people commenting/asking who he is. I thought first that it was a band. It's acutally a singer and it seems that Christian Solo backed them

If I recall, Moise Mbiye was supposed to do Zenith as well and he's currently one of the biggest, if not the biggest, Congolese gospel artists of our time. He kept postponing it many times until he ultimately cancelled it for whatever reason.

Probably low ticket sales, unfortunately Congolese press, especially if you are on their bad side they will never let you and the public forget that you failed. Y9u guys saw what happened with Wazekwa

NK Divine is very very popular with young people even in UK as well as in France as well, not just even Congolese but many francophones from even 35 years and under. He is very very big so this is not a surprise at all.

Just discovered that SDM is the son of late Bob Masua. It is insane how many artists evolving in Europe are children of artists and producers. Before Ferre performed at Adidas Arena, I discovered that rapper Zola being the son of Abby Surya and when Serge Kiambukuta passing, discovering that he is the father of Ninho.
