The other day it was 10 years since we lost Babia Ndonga Chokoro, regarded as the best singer of his generation which Koffi even admitted in an interview about a year before he passed. Also seen as the best singer and Quartier Latin history, he never had a bad vocal and he was instrumental with the magical chorus in Magie and V12. RIP Babia you are still missed.

until today the wenge admins regret letting him go away to quartier latin,top top singer was instrumental in paving a new way for tenorists of after him
his vocal compilation does no justice to him,he should have had an almost 2 hours compilation like fally and ferre but events made him miss albums for about a combined 15 years

It's sad that Babia couldn't show all his potential. I would have liked to hear his album, because when they posted extracts of him in studio on Congomikili, it sounded very promising. His death was very sad. I think that it was also the moment that some Congolese people starting to realize that it is disrespectful to make pictures of bodies in moratoriums and post them on social media.
I used to like that team of Babia, Eric Tutsi, Sam Tshintu, Willy Bula, Suzuki and Modogo in concerts. The way Eric Tutsi and Babia would sing together live, made it feel like you were listening to angels. Koffi used to call Babia "la voix du siecle". During rehearsal at Oshwe 5/5, Babia would often sing Koffi's song in his place, since that Koffi admired his voice. Koffi was really disappointed when he discovered that he and Eric Tutsi had made a certain choice, that would ruin their career. It's a shame that he didn't got the opportunity to release another song in Quartier Latin after Amen

The team of Babia, Eric Tutsi, Modogo, Suzuki, Willy Bula and Sam Tshintu was so special, it’s a joke that we only got one album with that whole team, imagine if Koffi decided to bring 6 singers earlier to Europe we could’ve gotten to see that team perform together in LSC, their chorus was too special

It's such a shame that videotapes of Quartier Latin concerts between 1994 - 1996 are extremly rare
