I have never understood how this "running away actually works "

Basically hitting a fan or a close person to help them escape, also because in most cases musicians don't have their own passports, but they get sent to a delegate of the group who will give them back for touring purposes, you can't just say I will leave in Congolese groups that's why musician try to leave

 they'll go to somebody,often a woman,or a family relative then they will be oriented towards a city where its more likely to succeed as asylum seeker,or some would just not care and risk it all by staying like that because its better than africa anyways look as those lights those roads
haha when groups come in winter the risk of people leaving is higher despite the cold temperatures,the guys especially the ones having their first tours are completely in awe when seeing roads constantly supplied with electric energy, and a lot of coloured light effects,that alone is already more than enough to see a musician jumping from his window  the day they have to gather at airport to go hide somewhere or some even actually arriving at airport,then going to pee or something and running away
