I like Soleil, but with only one album to his name and singles every couple years, I struggle to understand how he’s going to pull a big crowd and keep them entertained for 2-3 hours with songs they know. Will he do covers of other artists and vocals from QL days? I presume he’s asked Ferre to be a guest
It seems some of the smaller artists are having concerts just to prove performed at x or y venue and not concerned with having a big crowd. We can thank Mokuwa Bongo S’Grave for pioneering this recent movement ;D
Always glad to see his almost twin brother Blaise still in action. He’s one few good journalists remaining

apparently he'll release a group single and glimpses of his own album in between,like you i am not so sure crowd wise but i command the fact he is literally the only other latino alumni trying to be alive and active in the kin paris industry

In my opinion soleil decided too late to restarting taking his solo career seriously. He should’ve made his comeback 10 years ago, but he missed the boat.

yeah his private life and his troublesome previous divorce got him stuck here trying to sort himself out financially,maybe he should just have gone bold and returned to kin,none of the europe women of our artists liked their guy returning to africa but then the way they made money or fame in the long run made up for it and for some they stayed until recently
perhaps if he came and did some moves the ex would have seen that it was worth the sacrifice

So are most of these inactive Bana Poto artists still with sugar mamas, since they are now 40-50+? I know many have day jobs - few examples are Celezino, Blaise, Kero before returning to QL, etc. I ask because some pop out of nowhere sometimes and have the funds for a concert or recording sessions

If I'm not mistaken, isn't Fabregas wife from Europe, like Nana Ketchup? I guess they are the exception, because she was patient as he invested a lot of time in Kinshasa establishing Villa Nova
I don't blame the women in Poto for refusing the marriage of musicians, that lifestyle is too chaotic. Out of the year, those women only see their husbands 3-4 months out of the year and that's being generous because those months have their husbands performing in different halls throughout Switzerland, France, Belgium, and UK.
In the era of social media, it's much faster for musicians to get paid than before. I can only imagine how Spino, Doudou Copa, Reddy Amisi, and others would try splitting their income between home in Kinshasa, their families in Paris, and keeping up the appearance of successful celebrities. At some point, pressure for a more stable job will force them to keep music as a hobby or radically embrace their art... destroying the marriage.
